“The day was easy, from the moment of checking in at Port of Airlie at 7:40am, the welcome & communication from crew onboard Cruise Whitsunday was great. Windy trip over but fabulous taking photos from top deck and enjoying the view.
Arrival at Hamilton, beautiful swim at glorious Catseye Beach and swim in Sails pool. Picked up 2 hour buggy hire, cruising around Hamilton and drove to lookout at One Tree Hill. Amazing Halloumi Burger lunch included in trip at the Marina Tavern and walked it off with a bush walk to the Big Swing at Coral Cove.
Had a game of Bingo at Sails pool restaurant. I ordered sweet potato fries and received complimentary Salt & Pepper squid…. Amazing!
On the walk back to Hamilton Island Marina I spotted some wallabies and their joeys and at the front of the Wildlife Park a sleepy koala. Relaxing at Marina Wharf waiting for the ferry trip at 5pm watching the world go by. Smooth, quick trip back home. Incredible day. Thank you Hamo & Cruise Whitsundays!”
“Great day at Hamilyon Island with good lunch and activities available. Ferry alone is $120 return and this cost $129 including a good pub lunch so is worth it.”
“Nice cruise over to Hamilton Island. Use of the resort pool and beach front were amazing. The Marina Tavern lunch was delicious and filling; lots to choose from. It was a great way to spend the day exploring Hamilton Island.
Some things to know - try to book a buggy in advance, they were sold out when we went. And there is a 'green' labeled bus; but it is really a white colored bus, that will take you directly from the marina where you exit the cruise to the resort/beach front. It makes it wayyy easier than walking uo the hill and wasting time.”
