This tour was a highlight of my trip! As a solo traveler, I appreciated how welcoming and friendly the crew was. Our guide, Emily, shared fascinating insights about the reef's ecosystem. Snorkeling at Michaelmas Cay was surreal - I spotted a sea turtle and cool coral formations. The semi-submarine tour offered a unique perspective of the underwater world. The buffet lunch was delicious, especially the fresh prawns. Highly recommend this experience!

A fantastic day. Set sail at 8.30am for two hour voyage to Michaelmass Cay. Tea or coffee and a muffin to start the day. A talk from a marine expert about the reef and fish that are there next. Then arrive at the Cay you then have a number of choices snorkel visit the beach or go on the glass submerseable. Dinners is served and then more free time to what you want. 2.30pm tea or coffee and cakes and fresh fruit before the return journey. Just before arrival sparkling wine and cheese and biscuits. The staff are fantastic nothing is to much. Yes you will have lots of photos taken but there is no pressure to buy. I would recommend this trip!

We had an amazing day out with Ocean Spirit, the boat was very comfortable, well maintained and had plenty of space, staff clearly loved their work and were happy and gave great service and Michaelmas Cay was an amazing pristine destination. Azure water and great visibility, beautiful corals and snorkeling and the huge bommies of hard corals in the semi sub tour were spectacular and we'll explained in the commentary. I would highly recommended this reef cruise with Ocean Spirit.

Excellent team. very nice location. Being Non-Swimmers & first time snorkelers, our agent suggested Ocean Spirit as they go to Michaelmas Cay, where one can do all these in shallow waters, which will make us more confident (even with the life jackets, shallow waters are important for beginners). Scuba was amazing with Vinnie & Isaho. Their catamaran was top class.

Very comfortable and well organised day out to Michaelmas Cay. The staff were fantastic, friendly and relaxed but efficient and safety conscious. The food was great and the activities very well supervised on the Cay. Fantastic day.

Wow amazing day!! The day cruise on the Ocean Spirit from Cairns to Michaelmas Cay for snorkeling on the Great Barrier Reef was excellent. Great ship, great crew, incredible snorkeling at the fringing reef. Very well organized and safety conscious. You could also go scuba diving. Beautiful healthy coral gardens that go on and on, lots of stunning giant clams, lots of colorful fish. We swam with a turtle and a sting ray too. The included 30 minute tour on a semi-sub was great. The food was great. Do listen to the short presentation by a marine biologist enroute to the reef, very informative. Do swim all the way out to the “resting station buoys“, the reef keeps getting better the farther you are from shore.
