“Reading other reviews I see the narrow ankle area is a problem as it was for me.
I am usually a size 9.5. Size 9 worked well other than the sizing around the ankle. I have narrower feet, long legs and average ankles - definitely not thick. I could zip them up but no movement and painful to move in ankle area.
I loved the boot which was perfect in every other way. This seems to be a design fault.
I had no option than to return but only offered store credit with no other options available in black patent.
I live in a remote region so no opportunity to visit a store so it will be difficult to use store credit.
Usually a refund would e expected when there is a design issue as in this style.”

Patent leather unfortunately does not have as much 'give' as regular leather, so it can make the fit a little more difficult. You may find the black leather version would be more comfortable for you.
We know buying shoes online can be difficult and that's why we have our great 'try on' service, where you can purchase one pair of shoes and request to try another couple at no extra cost, so you can compare at home and then return any unwanted pairs free of charge.

“Love the look of the boots and the comfort you get out of it. I’ve never experienced any skin allergies especially from shoes made of real leather but when I wore these out (twice to confirm cause of my allergies) it confirmed with me that whatever lining is used for these boots have caused an allergic skin reaction. No other boots of mine have caused such a reaction. I can no longer wear these because of the lining material.”
