“These shoes are extremely wide. The soles are cheap. The shoes look and feel cheap. They are made in China. This is my first and last pair of Bare shoes. I would highly recommend visiting a store to purchase and not online to save disappointment.”

“I love the look of these and they would be comfortable but the straps that go over the top of the foot are WAY too loose. They don't hold my feet in at all. I don't understand whose feet these work with?”

Everyone's feet are very different not only in length but also in width and depth from one person to the next! The Godwits are an average-fitting shoe style. However, depending on the shape of the feet, they have worked for both wide and average foot types. Regardless, we completely understand it’s disappointing when shoes don’t work out the way you hope for them to.

“The size guide for these shoes is completely inaccurate and they're about two sizes small than described. Not only that, they were covered in a thick layer of dust. I then had to spend 10 minutes just to get a return label. There is no option to do this yourself on the website so I had to sit through a conversation with a bot and then repeat all of that to staff member. The staff member then kept trying to force me to exchange the shoes instead of giving me a refund like I asked. I had to tell her three times that I do not want an exchange. What an absolute rort. This was my first purchase from Bared and it will be my last.”

“I had heard from a few people that bared footwear make the comfiest heels but I’ll be honest I didn’t believe them. I wondered if the people saying this were people that could & would regularly wear heels without complaints.
I usually cannot wear heels because I know I won’t last more than 15 minutes walking around before I’m so uncomfortable that I can no longer hold a conversation and have to find the nearest seat or have to go barefoot waaaay too early in the night at a fancy event.
I recently purchased the godwit heels and wore them to a wedding and kept them on all night through standing cocktail hour, walking on gravel, dancing and all of the usual wedding things.
I only started to get mild discomfort at the 9 hour mark but not enough to warrant taking them off.
I am so excited now that I will finally be able to wear heels!
Will definitely be recommending bared to all my friends and family.”
