“A bit higher than I’d usually like but the straps do keep your feet nice and cosy. They do run a bit big so I’d suggest getting one size smaller than your usual.”
“Sadly I'm in two minds about these. They look great, were comfortable to try on, and Bared customer service had been amazing in helping me to switch another pair for these. However, I wore them to a cocktail event out of the box and it was painful. They are so dainty and narrow, and my foot spills over the side of the footbed in each direction all the way down. (I am borderline wide across the toes but otherwise average.) This seems to be common across all Bared heels and I have been advised in the past that it is okay if the foot spills over, but I actually disagree. The arch support digs into the sole of my foot and it just hurts.
I took my usual size but in reality am probably a half size in Bared heels. Have tried going up a full size before but it's always too large.
I also had trouble with the heel straps falling down as they are not secured to the midfoot strap but are able to slide along it, essentially making the shoe a mule every few steps. I might glue them into position to fix this. Overall a great looking shoe but probably better for a sit down dinner rather than a standing event.”
