“At first I was excited to use such a fine tool, but when it came time to sand raw Ash, it didn't see to be powerful enough. Long story short, I was not using the right grit. After using a 40 grit and later ramping up to 400, I quickly saw the usefulness of this sander. It's light, quite, and does not fatigue my hands after an hour(s) of sanding. The sanding pad looks as though it will also last quite a long time. Great Product! I do a few pieces of furniture a year and I don't see the need for any of the more expensive sanders.”

“This sander is a perfect starter for anyone looking to explore Festool. It is light and balanced, but full of power. Coupled with a dust extractor, it makes sanding virtually dustless. Its small size and low weight make it fit comfortably in your hand while gliding effortlessly across the wood. Hardly any work sanding anymore, and the results are awesome.”

“After my older sander stopped working I was in the market for a new 5 inch sander and after reading some reviews about this sander from festool I purchased it. This was my first festool sander of now 5 that I own and the first thing i noticed was how quite this sander is compared to my old one, then after using it couldn't believe how light it is, this sander is a real joy to use the finish is perfect with the right abrasives. After this purchase I was hooked on festool. Thanks for putting out such quality tools.”
