“I purchased the Glideaway Odessa adjustable bed for my parents and hoped to get one later for myself. The phone salesman was helpful and cordial. I was not happy with the curb-side pickup, as I think there should've been more emphasis on the need for movers to be available to move it from outside. I had the bed delivered to my elderly parents, and arrived to see the bed on the ground across the lawn, blocking the walk-up. My father was understanding that the delivery person was alone without help and explained that he could not move it to the porch or come inside. Just wish that was clearer beforehand so we could've prepared.
The bed, they are still getting used to. My parents like the motion settings and the underbed light. But the bluetooth app is really frustrating. It took a while to get the beds synced to the apps. Because we got a split king, its basically 2 separate beds. It was hard to connect to the bluetooths as the sync button is under the bed and we have to lift the whole bed out of the bedframe to sync it. The bluetooth names are not intuitive so it took a while to even figure out which bluetooth to connect and we have to remember which is which between each of the beds. The app on one device does not switch easily between the two bluetooths to control the beds so the "anti-snore" feature is not helpful. My dad would need to wake up from his snoring and hit the button on his own app because my mother can't control his bed from her phone without unsyncing her own bed. When you open the app, it takes a few seconds for it to connect to the bluetooth and has a generally slow response time. They also become unsynced for unknown reasons and are hard to trouble shoot with the sync button under the bed. My dad's bluetooth stopped working altogether. The bed should be much easier to control. I felt $75 was a lot for a remote initially, but I'm finding controlling the bed is a headache with just the app. The massage feature is really intense and loud.”
