This is my third Brome feeder and the only one I’m unhappy with. It’s very difficult to open the tube for filling. The way the top is attached is flimsy. I have to bring my feeders in at night and any moisture in the tray leaks on to floor. Sorry I bought it.

My goal was to keep mourning doves from overwhelming my feeder. The cage did exactly that. Little birds get in easily. Cardinals sit on the edge and bend their heads in to the tray to get a seed. Wish they could get in, but at least they can eat from the edge. The feeder was easily assembled and appears to be good quality. I am very satisfied.

The grid size is perfect for small birds like Gold Finches and chickadees, but keeps out the *&^% House Sparrows! Super easy to fill and clean and the tray at the bottom is catching most of the dropped sunflower chips. I ordered it with the Green Protective Cover for Hanging Bird Feeder with Scalloped Edges which will probably keep the rain and snow off the.feeder ports. Looks really nice! Great quality construction. Worth the $$ because I'm sure it will last a long time. Fast shipping.

The feeder is attracing mice into it, and unfortunately the finches are too large to access the internal tube through the external cage. Its a bust for us!!
