“I ran out of big suet cylinders (from another company), so I stacked three different suet cakes (insect, hot pepper and peanut) and put them in my cylinder feeder, and as soon as I turned my back the junkos, crowned sparrows, spotted towhees, fox sparrows, and a downy woodpecker were all over it til it was almost dark out. It was pretty unheard of. Normally it takes my backyard birds several hours before they try something new, but not in this case. I’m thinking of just buying a case of these cakes and and always using them in my cylinder feeders.”
