“I decided to give blindster a second try, and things went more smoothly than the first time. The blinds look nice, and the price and promptness of delivery were great. Although I was skeptical about the cordless feature, I do like it. Overall, I am satisfied with the purchase. My beef is with the installation hardware. With blinds 64" wide, it would take 4 hands to follow the instructions for placement of the mounting brackets. As such, I devised my own system. Box brackets rather than snap-on brackets would be easier to use and would make it much easier to remove and reinstall the blinds. To install 64" blinds into 4 snap-on brackets, I had to turn out the screws on the bottom of the brackets to give the metal flange a little play. After doing that, the blinds easily snapped in. Then I had to tighten the screws on the bottom of the brackets. A thumb screw would be helpful if snap-on brackets must be used. The screws for mounting the brackets did not come with anchors; an outside mount is likely to be made into drywall, so such anchors are needed. The snap-on brackets do not accept a nut driver to fasten the screws all the way down, so if snap-on brackets continue to be used it would be helpful to redesign the brackets to give more clearance for a nut driver. For the valance to be useful and to provide a nice finished look, it should be 4" longer than the blinds are wide. I did not use my two pieces of valance, because I thought the blinds were better-looking without those. Bottom line? I like the blinds, but the installation hardware could be improved.”

“Quality and color good as expected. For outside the trim installation be sure the hanging brackets are about an inch or more from the end. otherwise, you won’t be able to put the plastic plugs back into the end of the unit on each side.”

“Easy to hang. Nice quality. Don't close all the way. The last 4 slats don't close like the upper slats. Don't care for that. Was goint to order 4 48" x 48" blinds for sunroom, but need them to close all the way.”
