“Instructions do not tell you how close to place the brackets from the window. Our sill is 5 inches and placed them 2 1/2 inches from window looks ok. Must be good at measuring since if you touch the sticky tape to the frame that's it. Was hard to figure out how to put the bracket on the shade but once done it wasn't so bad. if one changes shade one would need to sand and repaint where the brackets were. Don't know how many years they will stay up. Time will tell.”

“I installed these myself as a 59 year old woman and found it pretty easy to do. Just make sure you read the directions. I am happy with my cellular shades. They look great.”
