“Now that both of our west facing shades have been installed, we enjoy evenings on our deck with the direct sunlight efficiently blocked. Both shades are readily lowered and raised, and the elastic loops at the bottom hold them in place in windy conditions. Installation was a challenge, partly due to the inside bracket design and the wrong width of one shade. The screw holes on the brackets are too close to the right angle bend, such that any ordinary power drill cannot drill straight into the framing. We must have erred when measuring shade width because one shade was 1/16 inch too wide, making the inside mount impossible to accomplish via the instructions. We finally came up with a way to depress the spring-loaded rod and insert it into its bracket last instead of first. Another shortcoming is that the instructions do not say anything about the factory installed 'stops' on the chains. There should be a bold warning for the user to leave the stops as-is, since they pre-set the specified shade length. The instructions do clearly specify how to mount the chain tensioner device, but should also state that there must be sufficient clearance for the 'stops' to pass through the tensioner during normal operation; verify this before drilling the mounting holes.”

“We love our shades however, we needed another post in the center of our pavilion to anchor the i side corners. My husband came up with the idea to use a 2 kg (-5 lbs) weight attached to the ends with strings. Even with a good breeze, they work great,”

“The blinds are exactly as advertised. Great quality. Measurements were perfect. I was kept informed of the entire process all they way to delivery. The price cannot be beat when there is a 50% off sale. The blinds block out sunlight but still allow you to see out. I do recommend the bungee tie downs for outside blinds. Absolutely worth the extra cost. I will be buying more soon.”
