“We were looking for shades that add privacy but keep the room nice and bright. These roller shades were just what we needed. We ordered several and only one had a small defect. We called customer service and let them know and they only requested that we send a photo of the defect so that they could send a replacement. So impressed with how easy the process was! “I purchased these and was very excited to install them in my new apartment. The previous apartment I lived in came with light filtering roller shades and I was extremely happy with them. Naturally I wanted something similar for my new place. Never having purchased shades before I took advantage of a promotion that was going on and felt I was getting a pretty decent deal compared to local companies/installers who had quoted me. Of course I wasn't expecting the king of shades, but something decent for sure. Overall the install of these was quite simple - but unfortunately as the ceiling is not perfectly level in my apt, there was an uneven gap between both of my shades when they were both down. I tried my best to adjust them by lowered one side - the hardware basically now hangs from your ceiling rather than being fastened properly making it looks pretty rickety. It's thankfully not visible from far away but hope it stays put in the long run. In terms of material, I surprised that there is absolutely no opacity to them, more of a black out than light filtering really. Not really what I was looking for, but I guess I made the mistake of not ordering a free sample. For the rest of the apt, I purchased faux wood blinds, but now wish I had for my living room as well, as they can be easily adjusted and didn't give me any problems despite uneven ceilings in the bedrooms as well. My advice, if you're deciding between the two, think twice and make the investment and go with the wood blinds!”
