“We have the lightest filtering shades (in ebony) in 3 of our bedrooms and they are wonderful - reducing the direct sunlight in the room, and yet allowing you to still see out. They were sized perfectly and look amazing in the windows! I wanted something that was very streamlined - you almost can't see them when they are rolled up. And after doing some online research, the prices can't be beat! After reading the clearly laid out warnings about filtering shades not providing nighttime privacy, we opted for these anyway. In the end we are okay with this because we live in a more remote area, but those looking for nighttime privacy will have to couple these shades with other window treatments. We did a test - leaving the lights on and looking in from outdoors, and you can see right in. Lastly I can't speak to the ease of installation - we had a carpenter friend install. Love these shades and would recommend them and Blindster to anyone!”

“We have a very large picture window looking out the back of our house to the river that we absolutely love! But this time of year the sun really does a number heating up the inside of the house. I didn't want to cover my view and I knew the size would mean spendy for blinds, but this solar shade took care of us. Despite the width, the shade is solid and fits perfectly.”

“We had seen these type of shades at hotels and they are great! Daytine privacy is near 100%, but night privacy is not so good with the lights on in the room. The Cassette Valance looks great for our inside mount! We have 6in walls and the windows are deep and the valance makes it look like the window was build with it. The valance is sturdy even at a width of almost 70in. Regarding measuring, if you are getting the valance, you might want an extra 1/4 in. One window I gave the EXACT measurement and it fit, but a bit tight. We got these on 40% off sale. So our value score is a bit skewed. We will buy again when they have the next "never-again" sale :-)”
