“I was very upset when i hung these shades up. They do not darken the room at all!! I called customer service about this and was told i could return them with a handling fee and i have to pay the return costs. I shipped them back today for refund but am extremely upset that you call them darkening and they do NOT darken. I now am out $25 to mail them back and the $5.95 handling fee for No reason!!”

I'm sorry that you weren't happy with your shades. Room Darkening is a term that is typically used for fabrics that block between 90% & 98% of the light. Lighter colors will definitely let in more light. This differentiates from the term Light Filtering which can be anything from sheer to blocking 95% of the light. I will call you to if we can get you a new product to replace these shades at a discount to cover the cost of returning these shades.

“I received my shades and was very satisfied with the appearance, but once installed one of them was very noisy when raising or lowering. I contacted customer service and talked to Sara, she immediately got to work on correcting my problem and I had a replacement within two weeks. I will definitely buy from Blindster again, and I recommend them. Dave M.”

“If you expect this to look like the website pics, do not buy. They had 3/4 in gaps between each side of the window. When I called a few times to resolve, I spoke with Becky a supervisor, she seemed not to care, and kept blaming the vendor, and refused to acknowledge that the website pics look nothing like the product you will receive. She the proceeded to offer 75% of my purchase price as a credit towards a different product..her attitude was basically, oh well”

I'm sorry you weren't happy with your roller shades. All window coverings that are mounted inside the window should be ordered using the actual window opening width (for roller shades use only the width at the top of the window). The top of a roller (outside bracket to outside bracket) is the widest point of the shade and is made just slightly smaller (1/4 inch deduction for this product but it varies by factory). The fabric will actually be made between 7/8 inch and 1 1/2 inch inch less than the ordered width (on this particular shade it is 1 1/8 inch). This deduction is necessary because the operating components must fit onto the end of the tube. In addition, the fabric can't be wider than the tube or the mechanisms will damage the fabric. You could have had this shade remade under our Fit or Free Policy to a new width or as an outside mount so your fabric can be wider. We pay for the replacement shade, you pay $15 for the shipping plus the price difference (if any) if the new shade costs more than the original shade. However, when reviewing your order, you chose to return the shade under our Satisfaction Guarantee and we have process a refund.
