I purchased 3 blinds and installed all 3 in 30 min. 4 vertical slats were broken in shipping, glad you sent extras. Great product.

Heard about Blindster on Rush Limbaugh...figured it had to be good. Sorry..i felt it was poor quality for the amount of money. i think this guy makes his money on the fees charged for shipping. Have a number of apartments still to redo....will not use this product again

I'm sorry you are not happy with your order. The Smooth PVC Vertical Blinds are our opening price point for this product category and the thickness of the vanes is only 22 gauge. The other 3 Vertical Blinds on our site are thicker and more sturdy. We only charge freight on orders that have widths (or heights in the case of vertical blinds) larger than 94". The factories actually charge us more than the $70 we charge on our website. You can return the order under our Satisfaction Guarantee for a refund of the cost of the blinds. Thank you for your honest feedback.

I installed two sets in my rental unit. The head rail was much lighter than the what I installed in my home. Also the vanes are a very thin gauge vinyl.

When I ordered my blinds, I was told they would be coming from Ca. However, during a call to customer service, I was told that they had been made in Houston. Since I live in Houston, I said that I could have saved the $70 shipping charge by picking them up myself. The rep said perhaps she could get half the shipping charge refunded. I called back a couple weeks later to see if any action had been taken on the refund. I was told that there was no way the blinds were made in Houston and the shipping charge would not be adjusted. In my mind, there was almost no way the blinds were made and shipped from Ca. The tracking info I got online did not indicate any shipment from Ca. and only showed activity from Houston. The time from order to delivery was way to short to have been made and shipped to me from Ca. The explanations given me during my second call did not make sense. Other than that, I am pleased with the product.

I'm sorry you didn't believe our explanation. All of our vertical blinds and some of our horizontal blinds are made in California. To try to reduce shipping damage the California factory decided to stop using ground delivery service for blinds that are shipped to points east of Houston, Texas. The company instead loads them onto a truck that then takes them directly (also saving a lot of time because the truck drives straight through to Houston) to the FedEx terminal in Houston. The confusion is caused because the FedEx package is scanned and labeled at the California factory. However, no tracking information is available in the FedEx tracking system until after the package is received at the Houston terminal. So, it looks like the package was shipped but is not moving when you look at the tracking information. The $70 shipping charge that we charge our customers for oversize freight does not begin to cover the additional cost involved with shipping products that are wider the 94 inches. We absorb all the additional freight cost incurred. I apologize for the confusion.

I heard many ads on the radio advertising guarantees and free shipping so I decided to give it a try. I ordered samples and then we chose a color and I measured the window. The blinds arrived and I installed them and they look very nice. I was very disappointed that they charged me &70.00 shipping after every ad I heard said it was free. Of course my normal size living room window made it an oversize shipment. I would not have purchased if I had known they were going to charge that exorbitant shipping charge. I doubt I will use the company again unless I want to cover a tiny window.

I'm sorry you were surprised by the oversize shipping charge. Unfortunately, anything over 94" just costs too much to ship to include the shipping in our prices. We actually are charged more for the oversize freight by the factories than we charge our customers.
