I'm grateful for all the knowledge being shared, here, but I'm disappointed in the participation on your Facebook page - I feel I need serious support to move through the initial phases of this lifestyle diet - I did post and received answers to my questions but that was all there was going on with so many thousands of Followers - I want to read people's experiences and about the blocks they face and how they moved through them - without this support I will not be continuing with BE and I'm not able to PAY for consults - this is exactly what happened to me when I tried to adopt this program about 10 yrs ago - please inform me if there is a FB group with more activity - be well and happy holidays

I really like this cookbook, it provides me with helpful ideas. I am just not sure if all of the recipes abide by proper food combining.

Being grain intolerant, this cookbook has recipes I can use for grain free cooking.

Creative design for the cookbook. I like that it lays flat when opened and folds in 1/2 to view just one recipe page while I’m preparing it . So far I’m in love with veggie chips pg. 41 As is my nature I tweaked that recipe . Earth day crackers pg 42 So tasty again I tweaked this with more spices . I made the leek, Quinoa, mushroom packets pg. 46 Had enough left over to freeze another few meals . And enough filling left over that I used to stuff some Anaheim chilis . The gluten free gravy pg. 111 I must admit needed some help with flavor . The roux needs to be stirred and simmered a bit to remove the paste taste of the amaranth flour. But that was an easy fix. Now I’m addressing a point that may just be an editing error? Just FYI: In the table of contents under desserts “ chocolate chip oatmeal cookies “ Are listed , but no recipe in the book . However in recalling the fifth edition book . A recipe called “Norma’s Almond Butter Cookie “ is listed on pg.248 . Just in case folks want a treat From that 5th edition some of my favorites made it into the new cookbook . Heidi’s onion pie Buckwheat croquettes Kasha meatloaf Heidi’s savory crackers Tex Mex corn casserole Par boiled salad Just to name a few. I was sad that from the 5th edition a favorite was not added. Heavenly Quinoa Hash . Such a versatile recipe . All in all the new cookbook is good . My only suggestion is that the beautiful photos would have had a small space for the name of the dish or recipe on them. They look delish but some photos are not right next to the recipe. Maybe I’m being picky , but those cookbooks I own that label the photos send me to the recipe right away and I know how the end result should look. Thanks Donna for keeping my gut healthy.

I have had a copy of this cookbook for several years and have enjoyed several recipes. Sadly, our current market has made it difficult and expensive to obtain the ingredients of my favorite recipes (that I had come to depend upon, but lately have had to do without...young coconuts for example). But, I took advantage of your free offer to me with this copy and am gifting it to a friend that hopefully I can turn into a BE follower, participant, and customer.
