“I'm truly sad to write this review. I have been with Juliana and Mark since they sold their house in Canada and took for the road. Born on the summer solstice I'm intensity and I hated yoga; Juliana showed me how to breathe, how to kindle my inner fire and allowed me to build a daily practice that has transformed me from a toxic overachiever to someone who uses that energy to pursue their own path. I'm grateful for this and come back to Juliana when times are challenging. I did this at the start of COVID with the Retreat program and I turned to Ascension when war made me leave my home. I’m fortunate enough to have friends who host me in another corner of the world, also surrounded by nature, so I had the opportunity to clear my body and mind before this program and I was excited to start. After day 1 of Ascension, I did not feel a difference. I moved onto to day 2 hoping for a cumulative effect and - nothing. While the morning practices targeted the right postures, I found that these were a short series of complementary poses rather than a class-long progression to deeply work on a target area. And I think this deep work is precisely what is required in a chakra-opening program. Juliana and Mark took an affirmations approach. The cliche affirmations like we are in control of our reality and overused folktales like the good wolf/bad wolf story had a negative impact on my practice. I felt like I was being told what to appreciate and what to tell my brain instead of being taken on a journey to feel the rise of energy through my body and into the beyond. The reflective evening practices were especially painful. Painfully slow they were more of a simplification of the morning practice, a reaffirmation rather than a meaningful addition. Taking all that I have mentioned along with the desolate desert landscape I felt like this program was moving me closer to death, rather than being in a service of a full life.”

“The Ascension was an incredible journey. I enjoyed every moment of it, even when it was hard ;o) The words, Juliana's and Mark's voices, the exercises, the explanations, everything was just ideally made and perfectly suited. I am also very grateful that I can have access to it even after having completed the seven days. I will surely do the 7-day ascension again and feel happy to have it still with me.
