Summer camp
“My 6 year old daughter has given the camp at St Helen’s Primary school a big thumbs up. She’s spoken enthusiastically about the range of different activities they do and has thoroughly enjoyed her time there. She said the staff were super friendly and helpful which is what I have found too. They also have strong safeguarding procedures as I turned up early to collect my daughter but the internal access door was locked so that was extremely reassuring. I would definitely recommend the camp and hope it inspires a love of tech going forward.
I have not given 5 stars on the basis that the daily costs are higher than other camps in Ipswich when it appears that the overheads are the same. Also, when emailing about a date change in advance, I didn’t receive any response.”
“My child had fun at the tech club but he didn’t do much that he couldn’t do at home - he made a maze in Minecraft, but didn’t get to code in Minecraft, as promised.. He played on an animation app - which seems to be a rather old out of date one, but could also have done from home… So we are a bit disappointed for the price…. He is already a keen coder and this holiday camp didn’t deliver what it promised in that department.”
“My child seemed happy at the end of the day and enjoyed the tech club session. My one gripe is that the staff didn’t seem very attentive around names - his was spelt incorrectly on his name badge and not pronounced correctly for most of the day, and I know another child that had a similar issue. If the staff could pay more attention to how the names are spelt on the register and also check either with the parents or the child how to pronounce that would be appreciated.”

Thomas Reade week 2.
“My child said the day was ok. He and I from reading the week info was expecting more coding in Minecraft and being taught some new skills, which didn't really happen. So disappointed.”
