““The best thing was being able to make things with the lego and being able to work in pairs and groups to make new friends, but I loved it all.”

Which activity or class did you attend?
St John’s College TECH CAMP
“Smaller kids will find the camp exciting and inspiring. My sons, who are 11, unfortunately found it boring. Some of the activities are quite interesting, but they are too basic for the older kids. The staff do not make any adjustments to make them more engaging and challenging for KS3. There is no Minecraft coding whatsoever, they are just given tablets to play Minecraft...
On the other hand, facilities are good, and safeguarding seems to be adequate. All in all, for older kids this is just some STEM-themed light entertaining. If you do not care about the overpriced day rate, and you manage the expectations of your kids, it does the job of filling a summer week nicely.”

“My son said he didnt do the animation task. The robot was already built so they just played with it. Im not sure this class works as a single day, it seems like they need to be there all week to get any benefit from it. Compared to other holidays clubs its very expensive so I wouldnt recommend it.”
