“I absolutely adore my ring but I wish the gap on the bottom of the band didn't exist or the groove wasn't as deep. I'm constantly cleaning it as gunk gets stuck in the gap. The photo/360 doesn't show how deep the groove actually is and it wasn't something myself or my fiance considered when looking at rings.”
“I have never written a review before, but since an engagement ring is a large investment for most people I felt the need to write a review to hopefully prevent others from making the same mistake I did by purchasing from Brilliant Earth. I ordered a Petite Twisted Vine ring in January of 2023 for my fiance, and within a little over a month of wear two gemstones in the setting fell out. I called a Brilliant Earth representative and shared my concerns with him, and he simply said he did not have the authority to handle repairs or refunds and I would have to speak with a manager. Then, I spoke with a manager, where I shared that the quality of the rign was not what I thought it was and requested a refund, to which they responded that a refund was impossible since it was past 30-days (barely). They then insisted that I send the ring back to ensure the gemstones falling out wasn't a result of our wrongdoing, which I can understand. So, I sent the ring back. A few weeks later I then received a call from a repair representative, who explained that the ring did not appear to have been used inappropriately, and they also found that the prongs holding the main gemstone were out of alignment and would be repaired alongside with the two missing gemstones from the setting. At this point I made it clear that I would not accept a repair, as it is clear this is not the quality of product advertised. (as a side note, we purchased a $20 amazon ring in the interim while we work this out and it has held up much better than the $3,000 Brilliant Earth ring). So, she again said I would have to speak with management, which appears to be just another obstruction to providing a refund that is clearly in order. At this point they tried pawning me to another manager, who will not respond to my messages. I am months in, they still have the ring, have not issued a refund, and won't respond. Not exactly what you hope for when you purchase an engagement ring. After going through this, I looked up reviews on other third-party websites and it is clear that this kind of experience is common place with Brilliant Earth, many purchasers even explain that their reviews are deleted off of the Brilliant Earth website if they are negative. All this said, beware. Do additional research on other websites before purchasing from Brilliant Earth! “My fiance picked out the petite twisted vine in rose gold with an oval. What a beautiful and romantic ring! Photos don't do the sparkle justice - everyone has remarked on how sparkly and beautiful the diamond is. The interlocking vines and pave are both daintier in person than they appear online, but the band itself feels nice and sturdy at 2.5mm. I also love that you can see the diamond through the bottom of the setting, which will make cleaning it easier. The claw prongs also seem wonderfully secure. We loved being able to select the diamond - we selected a 1.14 H VS1 Ideal cut and felt like the price was very fair. In natural light it looks colorless and incredibly sparkly and in warm lighting it has a lovely warm hue that is complemented by the rose gold.”
