“The design of an iPad aftermarket keyboard has a few strong exponents, companies who take the task seriously. With two new iPad 6th Gens, we decided on Brydge, one, of those exercises to do a lot of homework — reviews, reviews, reviews — but still it’s a leap of faith. This is our second set of iPads, updated from 4’s with ZaggKeyPros, which we banged on for years and whose key arrays and design were excellent. But this round the reviews on the sturdiness of the Brydge keyboard compared to the issues with the similar Zagg hinged Slim Book won the day. Without an authoritative, whch is to say personal experience, with the new Zagg, this was a creditable decision. The clasps are completely reliable, even accommodate a thin protective skin on the iPad. My only reservation is that the iPad is a little harder that I would like to remove and use independently of the keyboard, but that may be self-inflicted with the inclusion of the skin. Oh, and don’t expect that the case colors of the Brydge will perfectly match the Apple colors. Close, close enough but discernibly not exact.”
