Heavier than others but so worth it because none of the others lasted very long. I started with Zagg & after having to replace 4 in 3 years I gave up...this is so like a mini laptop - love it

This was my second Brydge keyboard with the first having died after a little more than a year of ordinary usage. It took well over a week to receive my new keyboard that I immediately suspected was not brand new. The right hinge bracket was unable to be tightened and remained so loose that I was afraid of dropping my iPad. Then, it was impossible to pair the device with my iPad despite help from customer service and their little videos. When I wanted to return the keyboard for a refund I learned about their return policies: a necessary request for an online label that assumed you had a home printer, no paid postage for returns, a 7.5% restocking fee, and a possible additional $9.95 penalty if I didn't sent the tracking number prior to its receipt in Utah. Seriously?? And then a "partial refund" will be issued depending upon evaluation of the keyboard by their tech team. But since I was shipped a defective product to begin with, how do I prove that I was not responsible for any defects? Some companies depend on customers being so frustrated by cumbersome return polices that they simply pitch the item and don't even hope for a refund. Truly disappointing!

For an iPad 9.7 Pro. Keyboard matches color perfectly, looks great, fits very well. Illuminated keys very nice. The keyboard will stay open where ever you place it, another nice feature. However, typing is awful. Keys often do not print a character when struck, perhaps because keyboard design means one often hits 2 keys simultaneously. Combine this with the intrusive Apple spellcheck and anything you type ends up being populated with all kinds of odd words, which requires edit afte edit, etc. I want t like this thing, but I just can't. I had a cheaper brand on a prior iPad which didn't look as nice, didn't protect as well, but typed 100% better. I am probably going to dum the Brydge and go back to a portfolio cover and typing with 2 fingers n the screen.

While the clips hold the iPad securely in place, the action of the key pads is not great. I often have to use a fair amount of force to activate the key. The "k" key being most problematic.
