I am using the brydge air with my ipad air for 2 weeks now. I really love the device. Typing is easy and fluent. The construction is just top quality with a beautiful metal finish matching perfectly with the one of the ipad's. I recommend this device to everyone who wants to get more out of their ipad and want to use it more as a small portable laptop. You can also use the keyboard as a stance when you turn the ipad around to watch movies at different angles. A must buy

in the hinge, it is needed to add an adoptor to fit in ipad air 2!! otherwise, the ipad air 2 will fall out. however, if the adoptor is on, u cannot even put the ipad air 2 into the hinges!!! VERY DISAPPOINTED!

My Brydge keyboard makes a world of a difference to my IPAD and I'm encouraging all friends to get one... The loudspeakers now makes Skype so much easier and its great to have a "full size" key board to write from.

I purchased the Brydge Air Keyboard which has quality craftsmanship. I love the fact that it has a backlit keyboard and the perfect fit for my iPad Air 2. I also purchased the leather case which is yet another quality product. You will not be disappointed.

I purchased a keyboard and one day later you offer a 20$ discount and free shipping. I would suggest that you instruct your shipping and ordering processing department to be aware of upcoming discounts and offer it to clients that are purchasing very close to dates where these discounts are being offered. Apple as an example does this and their clients love it and getting a lot of great press form small but important things like this.

I have owned a number of keyboards for iPads. When I came across the Brydge I was pretty excited and ultimately purchased. There are things I really like about it and then there are things I don't. I really wanted this to be a 5* purchase but there have been some disappointments and shortcomings that ultimately lead me to a 3.5* rating. It is fair for me to state upfront that some of the things I realized before purchasing from other reviewers but decided I could (and do) accept. With that said lets dive into the review. What I Like: 1) Solid Keyboard - I wanted a solid keyboard for travel and this certainly fits the bill. Made from a solid piece of aluminum it should be able to withstand the test of time and travel. (5*) 2) Flexible Viewing/Working Angles - I use my iPad in all sorts of positions including laying in bed reading. My previous Logitech keyboard simply would not work as the iPad would fall out. The hinged design of the Brydge was one of the key factors in my purchase. I love the flexibility it provides. (5*) 3) Backlit Keys - I had this on my Zagg then lost it w/ my Logitech and wanted it back. The Brydge has it and it works great. (5*) 4) Ease of Removing iPad - I wanted a solution that would allow me to go iPAD sans keyboard. The design of the Brydge is one of the easier ones to deal with in the regard. (4*) 5) Style - The Brydge is a nice looking product and the fact that you can get it to match your Air is very nice. (*5) 6) Feel - The keypad had a nice tactile feel and really types very similar to the apple keyboards which i like 7) Support - When I had an issue with my keyboard Support was responsive and sent me another unit, but that is expected. (4*) What I don't like: 1) Quality - I had to replace my keyboard w/in the first 3 weeks. The top was separating from the bottom on one side. I was very disappointed and surprised to see this given it appears to be such a solid keyboard. I don't know for sure but it appears to be a design issue vs. a manufacturing issue. Time will tell with the new unit i just received. Also, there are little rubber arc pads on the top corners to prevent iPad and keyboard surface from rubbing together when closed. Great feature but poor quality as they ultimately will loosen and peel off. (1*) 2) Hinges - As others have noted the iPad sits rather deep in the hinges making it very difficult to active the 'swipe up feature' on the iPad w/in lifting the iPad out a bit ultimately making that feature unusable. (2*) 3) Support for Portrait - This was the one thing that almost prevented me from purchasing. I really wanted this feature and other keyboards support it. However, no product seemingly has everything so I yielded on this feature to gain more important features I wanted. (1*) 4) Speakers - Others have indicated the same here - the iPad speakers are as good if not better and the placement w/ speakers directing out the back makes little sense. IMO, Brydge should save the cost and remove these altogether which would allow them to pass the savings on to the customer. In fact I recommend they place two additional hinges where the speakers go to provide for portrait mode. (3*) 5) Weight - While this is to be expected given the aluminum chassis it results in contribution to lower score. (3*) What I recommend: 1) add portrait mode support. possibly two additional hinges for this 2) make the depth of the hinges shallower allowing the iPad to sit up higher giving access to the full screen. if there were four hinges (see #1 portrait mode) then there shouldn't be a concern with the iPad separating from keyboard. 3) remove speakers 4) come up with better solution for keeping iPad screen off of keyboard when closed 5) make it lighter 6) most important - ensure that a solution is implemented to secure the keyboard top with the bottom
