Hinge shims are made very cheap and both broke on first use. Currently in return process. Had high expectations for this keyboard and it did not live up.

The keyboard fits and works beautifully. It feels more like a computer, which I like, than an iPad. It took me a little bit to figure out how to pair it because the instructions were so small I couldn’t read it. Love this item.

Just received and set up my new IPad Pro with the Brydge keyboard. I must say it is extremely well made and resembles my Mac Pro keyboard. I travel a great deal and normally use my older IPad Pro and a Logitech cover and keyboard. This product looks and performs much better and is substantially more professional. I might add that Logitech informed me that they don’t produce a keyboard for the new generation of IPad Pro.

Had it about a month. Performed well, responsive keyboard. But it doesn't flip all the way around, so to use my iPad as a tablet I have to remove the keyboard. Hinge snapped off, not its useless. Bummer

Keys are little difficult to get used to. Feel solid which is good, but need more pressure than keys I have been used to. Well made. Heavy.

I’ve read the bad reviews and some of the complaints are valid. Cons The Holders The rubber protectors where the iPad slides in can become askew when inserting or removing the computer. I thought I tore one the first time I inserted the iPad because some of the rubber was sticking out from the side of one of the holders. Once I removed the iPad, it somehow got bunched up and was able to slide it back into place. Key Registering There are times when I press on a key and it does not register. I’m not sure if it is a bluetooth issue but it does happen, but not too frequently. It’s not the way I type and that will be elaborated on later. Size and Weight (not necessarily a con) I don’t know if the keyboard could have been made thinner because of the balance needed to stop the iPad from toppling over (maybe make thinner and just add some weights) but it does add significant thickness and wight to the iPad. The weight is not a major con for me because it’s still significantly lighter then my 2016 15in Macbook Pro. It’s about the same thickness (.61 in. without back cover vs. .59 in. Macbook Pro) and weight ( 2.91 lbs. without back cover vs. 3.2 lbs. Macbook Pro) as the 13 in. Macbook Pro in notebook mode— not a huge difference. Pros I like the feel of the keys. I think it’s very comparable to the Apple keyboard (not the Magic Keyboard as I have not tired that one) I use for my desk set-up. The keys are smaller (as expected) but they have almost the same travel, and literal feel. Aside from the smaller keys, I did not find it a difficult transition and prefer it to my 2016 Macbook Pro keyboard. I really enjoy the dedicated keys for the iPad Pro. Due to the lack of a trackpad I am learning shortcuts (who says you can’t teach an old dog new tricks) to navigate. It’s not harder, just different. There are actions, like scrolling webpages and selecting apps not in the tab selection, that are easier with a trackpad. Although it’s not as convenient, I just use my Apple Pencil instead. I can detach the keyboard and use it at my desk and don’t need to buy the Apple magic keyboard I’ve been wanting, but can’t justify until my current keyboard stops working. Conclusion I tried the Apple keyboard and just did not like it. It looked nice and kept the profile light and svelte, but I did not like the way it felt when I typed (too shallow and stiff)— I’d rather use the on-screen keyboard. It just looks cool and different than the Macbook Pro. The holders actually make it look industrial, modular, and custom. Aside from the occasional key not registering (not sure if it’s pressure or bluetooth glitching) and the rubber getting torn or stretched, it’s a great keyboard and better than the Apple folio keyboard. In fact— it’s the Apple Magic Keyboard (dedicated keys) for iOS Apple did not make (yet).

I really like the feel of the Brydge keyboard and the fact that it has function buttons. However, after a week of use the hinge has already started to malfunction. When adjusting the angle of my iPad it falls out of the rubber gasket that keeps it in place, whenever I need to readjust the angle of my iPad I also need to reattach it to the keyboard because of this. This is incredibly frustrating and defeats the purpose of the Brydge keyboard. I have reached out to support about this issue and will update my review if they help fix this problem.
