Much better than Apple's keyboard. Sturdy and excellent quality. I keep reaching for a trackpad, though...

Was a bit worried after watching all Youtube reviews on this, with a few of them stating keyboard was hard to use in terms of accuracy, precision, and overall typing experience. Took the typing test on https://www.livechatinc.com/typing-speed-test/#/ both from MacBook using both internal and external keyboard (mechanical keys) averaging 65+ WPM. Took the same test using Brydge Pro Keyboard averaging 65+ WP as well. There was zero learning curve for me on this keyboard, which is also inconsistent with the reviewers feedback. Anyhow just wanted to let anyone who arrived here if they were debating on this purchase due to some of the negative feedback in regards to typing experience, that it’s actually phenomenal, go ahead and purchase, I almost didn’t and and so glad I actually went through with it.

GREAT keyboard! Got this for my 2018 12.9" iPad Pro and it works great, I don't think its to heavy, the keys all work the way they're supposed to.

So after waiting for what appears to be about 3 weeks, my keyboard for the iPad Pro 2018 finally arrived on 6/18/2019. I was a little disappointed in the customer service just due to the slow response but I must say that Morgan in customer support was very helpful once she replied to my note. My first impression when I opened the keyboard with child-like Christmas eyes was....why is this keyboard surface oily, as though the final inspection guy Bubba was eating fried chicken during his inspection??? Fast forward, I wiped it down and placed the device on the charger. I was pleased to see the keyboard and iPad can share the same charger and I can use the jumper cable to power the keyboard when it runs low on battery. After a 24 hour charge, I inserted the iPad into the u channels on the keyboard, connected it to the iPad via BT and started typing. The fisrt thing I did was to respond to several emails becuase wated to see what the keys felt like and how usable this makes the iPad and getting rid of my laptop. I must say, the keys are solid and the backlight is good but could be a little brighter. I see where some folks have complained about the weignt of the two together but I have no issue with the combination of the two because it weights les than my laptop and has a smaller footprint. The one major draw back for me is the pencil sits mounted to the top of the iPad in a state of "ready to get lost" however; that is no different than if you were using the Apple keyboard. My solution is when in laptop mode, place the pencil in my laptop bag. One last small issue....the back cover is beautiful and scaled correctly however it does not stick very well. That doesn't mean it falls off randomly but when taking it out of my bag or lifting it from a flat work surface, you have to use a little extra care. All in all this keyboard is best on the market. Battery is still at 3 green blinks since first charge and I use it everyday instead of a laptop, especially now since I downloaded iOS 13 for iPad. I am very pleased overall, great buy.

Good keyboard. I've got two, the 12.9 and the 10.5 for my partner. I've always been a fan of these keyboards, they are sturdy and feels really nice when typing on it. The only thing that I really hate and wish that Brydge hadn't changed was changing the emoji/world button for Siri. I never use Siri and actually hate using Siri on my iPad whereas I use the emoji button ALL the time when typing. Brydge, why?!!!! Now when I'm typing texts or emails I have to use a short cut key combination and it's not as good as having the dedicated button for emjoi's. I don't know why they had to change something that wasn't broken. I'm giving this 3 stars just for aggravating me by removing the emoji button and replacing it with useless Siri.

So, first, I’d like to say that this keyboard is legendary in design. For me personally, I’d award it with 5 stars right off the bat. The presentation is nice and takes me back to a better time before butterfly switch keyboards. Its functionally is better than I expected, with multiple shortcuts integrated with Apple’s software to make this feel like a premium keyboard that Apple should have made. It’s well worth the money, if you’re on the fence I’d say go for it. Finally, I’d like to thank the brydge team, especially Sam and Nick for their amazing support. My product had some structural issues when I unboxed it, and they owned up to this mistake and allowed for me to return mine in exchange for a new one (within the time eligible for warranty). I just received a replacement today, and it works super well and looks amazing. I was worried because some people warned of poor customer service, if this was true brydge stepped up their game big time. I only ever leave 5 star reviews for companies that amaze me, you guys have earned yourselves a lifetime customer. I look forward to purchasing from you again (^^)b. Best, - AM
