This is a great keyboard at the heart of it but it is really only for a specific person. As one who also carries around my laptop this is not really a good solution. The Brydge plus the iPad Pro is thicker and heavier than my laptop. The "wrist" rest is huge and causes the iPad to be further from you which makes the reaching distance too far. Additionally, the hinges fell apart immedietely after using it a couple times. If you plan on removing your iPad a lot then this is not a good solution. The typing experience is good but with the pitfalls listed above it is just not for me.

As the mouse support finally came with the iOS 13 or iPAD OS, we need a keyboard just like the current one but with a trackpad. It wil also make convenience for the users and get a MacBook style look. We will be very happy if Brydge do so.

The anticipation and waiting are over and I could not be happier with my iPad Pro 12.9 keyboard. The feel when typing is excellent. I had been using the Apple’s Smart Keyboard Folio since March when I bought my iPad, as it was the only keyboard available. It grew on me a little, but it does not compare to the Brydge. Media buttons, backlit, no annoyingly strong magnets, limitless screen angles and more make the Brydge the superior choice. My keyboard shipped with some discoloration on the aluminum, apparently a production snafu. I contacted support and they got back to me the same day and offered to replace without hesitation. I opted to hang on to my original, as it is unique. I appreciated the prompt reply and willingness to replace. The only critique I have is that the bevel in the keyboard is dead center, right underneath where the Apple Pencil attaches on to the iPad. If the bevel could extend beyond the pencil, split in two on each side of the pencil or even be moved to the sides, it would make opening a bit easier. This, however, is a minor concern.

After three weeks of delay, I finally get my hands on one of these, the keyboard looks really nice, however, this is a keyboard, not a decoration. The key itself is just like many people commented, it is hard to have the key registered when you are not pressing the very center of the key, which is really annoying for a keyboard, it is supposed to make typing easier, not more demanding. The gap between keys are really easy to get dust in and very hard to clean it out. The backlight effect is so the worst amoung logit zagg, the light is more like leaking from the gap rather than glowing under the keys. So far this thing is everything good except for the keyboard itself, it is a shame since this thing's fundamental function is a keyboard.

This is a review for the company not the actual keyboard. It arrived without a charge so I plugged it in and it's still shows a red light and will not turn on. I emailed the day it arrived and today I have emailed again, tried to call but you only get a recording, then left a message through facebook. It's the end of the day and still nothing.

Been waiting for my case for 6 months, and finally came in a week ago. Overall happy with the product. It is heavier than I expected. The keys on the keyboard are not as nice as I was expecting (for me the best keyboard ever was the 2007 15in MacBook Pro keyboard). The hinge is very solid. I have had the iPad fall backwards 1-2 times while having it open and changing positions. Taking the iPad out is easy. Getting it back into the grooves is super painful experience. I think very possibly on the 2nd time I did this, the insert ripped a little bit. I don’t see myself taking it out and putting it back in frequently. I did find a nice add on Amazon, which gives you a handgrip on the back of the iPad magnetic case, and when away from the keyboard will keep it propped up as well. Since I never plan to use this with the iPad inserted in reverse for “movie mode”, it doesn’t affect the use of the keyboard.

I had the Brydge for the previous model iPad Pro and loved it, my ONLY complaint was the difficulty in opening the keyboard/iPad, the updated keyboard fixed that and added so much more. The notch in the front makes it unbelievably easier to open and the keys on the keyboard just feel so much better. The backlit keys are a must, and having the volume controls and all the additional function keys make this the BEST keyboard sold for the iPad PERIOD. I’ve had the apple keyboard, Logitech keyboard, and finally this one came in, and it blows them out of the water. It’s incredible that this comes from a 3rd party and not Apple themselves. Very Very well done.
