Build quality - A+, for sure. Battery life - haven't tested it, but I am sure it is better than most others. Looks like a Macbook - but perhaps too much like one? I mean, for the cost of this and iPad Pro, guess what - you can buy a real Macbook/Macbook Air/even a Macbook Pro 13"! The thing is, it makes the whole combo heavier than a real laptop would weight! The hinges are great at easy insertion and removal, but I don't like the fact that you a) have to push so hard to insert it, and then rotate to remove. My biggest two dislikes are: 1) the clips are so small, than anytime you open and close the "laptop", it puts a LOT of stress on the ipad itself due to the tightness of the hinges. No stress on the Brydge. But it should be the other wait around, the iPad Pro is the far more expensive half of the clamshell! I think a way to loosen hinges while opening and closing, and/or simply longer clips that spread the force of twisting into the clips more, would help. Keep in mind, a real laptop has a top shell designed for that constant up and down flex, so that you won't hurt the screen. Here you are basically flexing the iPad many times a day in a way that was NEVER intended nor designed for. 2) I have to say, the keyboard is no better than a $15 wireless bluetooth keyboard off Amazon that I was using until now. Granted, to get a keyboard with backlighting and bluetooth costs more like $30-40. So in looks and build quality, it met my expectations, but in the things that count - usability/safety of my iPad due to flexing, and ease of use of the keyboard - I would say it fell below my expectations.

Great keyboard keeps my ipad at the proper angle and the keys are very easy to use. Very glad I bought it.

It looks perfect, it feels amazing, keys sensitivity is terrible. Typing on it is a real torment. Cheapest Chinese keyboard is better than this.

I waited to write a review after I had spent time using the keyboard. So here it goes. The keyboard has a solid feel to it when I type, and I can appreciate the ease of use in typing documents. The keyboard transforms the iPad to a mini laptop, and while typing, my hand goes in search of a touchpad. That being said, it took me no time at all to use the iPad screen and keyboard shortcuts for tasks rather than a touch pad. Unfortunately, I had to replace the rubber shims since one of the tore off within 10 days of purchase. One of Brydge’s team member quickly sent me a replacement, no problems. Great customer service. I find the keyboard a useful product especially when I am constantly writing, and I don’t have my laptop with me. I would recommend this product. Great job Brydge!

I waited to write a review after I spent time using the keyboard (about 2.5 months). So here it goes. The keyboard has a solid feel to it when I type, and I can appreciate the ease of use when typing. The keyboard transforms the iPad to a mini-laptop, and while typing, my hand goes in search for a touchpad. That being said, it took me no time at all to use the iPad screen and keyboard shortcuts to complete some tasks. Typing itself on the keyboard took some getting used to as well since it’s a smaller work area. Unfortunately, I had to replace the rubber shims since one of the tore off within 10 days of purchase. One of Brydge’s team member quickly sent me a replacement. Great customer service, Brydge! I had to get used to the additional weight the keyboard added to the iPad but for now that’s a trade-off. I find this a useful product especially when I am constantly writing, and I don’t have my laptop with me. Good job Brydge!

I bought a new Brydge and the hinges failed to hold my iPad within a very short time of light use. I contacted them for replacement and got an “open box:” in exchange. I would have done better purchasing from Amazon. You will too. Cannot recommend this level of customer service particularly given the price point.
