I have owned a number of iPad keyboards for various models. This is by far the best one of the slew. The hinges are well contrustred and hold the iPad in any position. When closed the unit's profile is slim. The keyboard itself is well made. I waited a long time to get this but it was worth the wait.

Great keyboard, looks nice, is backlit, functions incredibly. Pros: -holds iPad firmly with hinges. I can swing it around by the keyboard, the iPad won't come loose. Easy to remove too. -premium design, keeps iPad thin, very light. Cons; -it's a premium design but upon closer inspection there are a few fit & finish issues, mostly around the micro USB port. -it's a few shades darker and an entirely different texture than the space grey iPad Pro -i still don't know why they chose to use a micro USB port when the iPad uses a lightning connector. -no Apple pen storage? Would have been a thoughtful addition. -back lit keys are a little dimmer than I thought but you can definitely see them in a dark room.

I've had my Space Grey BrydgePro 12.9 for a few weeks now and have left off the review until I've had a chance to properly use the keyboard. As with my old BrydgeAir keyboard this seems to be wonderfully well put together, and the finish on the keyboards is as good as anything you would expect from Apple themselves. On top of this the feel from the keyboard is quite simply superb......it really is as good as typing on an MacBook Pro......in fact the only issue you will have it that you will probably spend a fair bit of time hunting for - or trying to avoid - a trackpad that isn't there! Since owning my iPad Pro 12.9 I've had both the Logitech and Apple keyboard offerings for the big iPad, and both of them have their faults in lots of different ways. The Logitech is too heavy, and very unwieldy (it's a nightmare to remove the iPad from if you want to use it on its own), and is tricky to adjust the angle of the iPad, and the Apple Smart Keyboard is a great lightweight solution, but the key feel is nowhere near as good as the Brydge, the keys are too close to the screen (so you keep hitting it with your fingers as you type), and it's nearly impossible to type on your lap! The Brydge with it's patented hinge design overcomes all of those issues. You can adjust your screen to any angle you require (great if you're flopped on the sofa, or watching catch-up-tv on the pad in bed), the keyboard has a big enough footprint to support the scene no matter what, and the Aluminium design of the keyboard means that typing on your lap is not a problem as it is with the Apple. The only drawback I can see people complaining about is the lack of making use of the Smart Connector on the iPad Pro (the Brydge is Bluetooth linked), but this is an absolute non-starter to be honest. The lightweight design of the Apple Smart Keyboard makes good use of the Smart Connector as it helps keep the keyboard very slim and very lightweight, but this sacrifices a stable base for typing on, and the key feel is particularly poor. The Logitech does of course also make use of the Smart Connector, but this then restricts the screen angle you can use with the keyboard, and if you're using the backlight a lot (as I did whilst typing at night when I had my Logitech) it sucks the life out of the iPads own battery. A Bluetooth keyboard with its own integral battery is a far better option for providing a stable base, and giving you plenty of time on the iPad for typing on projects. Would I change anything? One tiny thing........It would be nice if the edge of the keyboard was beveled to arch the edge becelling on the iPad Pro.

It arrived, charged it, it quit working after about an hour. Now it doesn't work, and, will not charge. I've written support 3 times since last night and have had no response. It's scary since the keyboard is so expensive.
