This product turned my surface pro 4 into a laptop - exactly what I was looking for when working on a plan or on my lap. Slight delay with Bluetooth connection, but expected with any blue tooth device. Typing is great!

this company has awful customer service - I ordered the unit and they fell silent - I had no idea where the unit was, when it would be shipped or if in fact it was even a real order. I posted on social media and someone responded over 2 weeks from my order date!!! - move on and do not waste your time with these guys even if the product is good they need to get their house in order and serve there customers. The product eventually showed up after over 3 weeks.

If you are one of those people who just want to have a keyboard that has a hinge and don't care much about the comfort, build quality, etc. then perhaps this review might be irrelevant to you. However, if you are really having trouble deciding whether to buy this, then stay tuned. This is my personal review for this keyboard: Pros: 1. Hinge works great. Tablet remains stable and does not wobble when the device is stationary. It is quite easy to put in and pull out. 2. Some people have reported that the keyboard breaks their screen. Fortunately, that is not eh case for me and I have been using this for 4 months already. 3. Has a cool backlight similar to a macbook keyboard. 4. Battery lasted around a month for me on a full charge, although the keyboard did not allow me to turn on the backlight after 7 days, which I assume is to save the battery of the keyboard. 5. Bluetooth is very easy to pair and connect, and I think that bluetooth connection also helps the surface pro to consume less battery compared to the original surface pro keyboard which is connected through contact points. Cons: 1. The metal part of the keyboard is very "grainy". There is a very distinct difference between the material for the Surface Pro (the tablet portion) and the keyboard metal. Although they did a good job in matching the colour scheme of the tablet with the keyboard, the texture is completely different because the keyboard feels "grainy", as if dust collects on your finger everytime you touch it and personally I find it uncomfortable. 2. The keycaps also have a slight "grainy" texture and the material is nowhere close to a macbook keycap, although they both look similar. The material of the keycaps seem very cheap. 3. The trackpad is absolutely terrible. It is way too slippery and the click mechanic of the keyboard often fails. I usually need to click multiple times before it works, and soemtimes the pointer moves way too fast. This is partly because the trackpad is also very, very small. If you are a user who prefers to tap than click then it is better for you, but drag and drop will still be a pain in the ass. Now I just use a mouse instead. 4. Although the pressure of the hinge does not break the screen, it does apply a considerable pressure on the screen to cause yellow backlights on the edge of the hinge. This might be worrying to some and it is also pretty annoying to see a yellow backlight on your screen, but it is usually only visible on white backgrounds. You will know what I mean if you buy this keyboard. Conclusion: Basically, this keyboard does what it is supposed to do. Yet for its expensive price point I find that they can design a better keyboard. There are many comfort and usability downgrades that I feel this keyboard has, which I find is solvable through better desing choices (e.g moving the keyboard portion upwards and making the touchpad longer, improving the mechanic of the touchpad). In terms of quality, this keyboard is no where near as good as a regular laptop keyboard or the original surface pro keyboard, but nevertheless, it is able to do what it is supposed to do: to provide a hinge for a laptop-like experience. All-in-all, if you desperately need a keyboard with a hinge, then get this keyboard. Otherwise, just get the original surface pro keyboard or any other keyboard for much less of a price with better quality.

The cables are very well built with both ends built so the cable can not kink and break. Excellent design.

Hi, I love the new keyboard. But the hinges are not the same and it doesn't stick onto my Surface Pro 4, the left side of the hinge sticks but the right doesn't. I checked on the site, and it is currently unavailable to purchase new hinges. If you can send me new ones, that would be really grateful!

I just recieved the brydge for my surface pro 4. The keyboard turned on briefly then went unresponsive. No lights will turn on and will not connected to bluetooth. Customer service has been useless and eventually ignored my chat. Very dissatisfied
