Other products overheated and wrecked havoc! Now been using this for weeks and it’s so much better — still wish I hadn’t got the MacBook with only two usb-c and when I reached out to apple for help with how to attach my peripherals.... silence Now I can do my work with camera mic two screens ... boom! Thank you.

Making use of every port the dock has to simplify a desk setup with a 2017 MacBook Pro 15”. Previously used a dizzying array of dongles and adapters with questionable reliability to connect a variety of monitors, hard drives, keyboards, and other peripherals. The dock outputs 4K 60hz flawlessly, and the pass-through thunderbolt port is a big selling point. Audio output (to my ears) seems as good as the macbook’s built-in headphone jack. Only having to worry about 1 cable when connecting the laptop, and not having to deal with the quirks of individual adapters, has made a meaningful difference in daily use–laptop no longer feels chained to the desk. Build quality is good. Price is reasonable compared the overall cost of all the adapters I was using previously. The slimmer design with all the ports on the back was exactly what I was looking for. The upper metal construction appears to offer sufficient heat dissipation, and the color closely matches Apple’s space grey. Will update should any issues arise in the future.

This product is gorgeous and comes with a 180W power supply to power all your accessories and laptop. Unfortunately this is not properly compatible with my machine and I cannot use it. There is nothing to indicate on the website as of 12/6/20 that this is the case. The Ethernet port does not seem to work though I can see it as an Ethernet Card inside System Information. Ultimately, this isn't reducing the number of cables I need to put into my computer, nor really expanding any functionality for me.

I was scammed into buying an accessory cord based on the description of items needed for setup, but not included with the product. However, the product did come with what I needed to connect my monitor (was not described in the "What's In The Box"), so now I'm stuck with an extra purchased cord which they refuse to refund. Not a happy customer.

Let me start out by saying do not be fooled by the cheap USB hubs that claim to be compatible with Thunderbolt 3. A misleading phrase - there is a big difference between compatible and capable. This hub really is capable of Thunderbolt 3 speeds, The USB ports are 3.1 and not 3.0. I am running a 28" monitor from the Display Port, an external portable USB 2Tb drive for extra storage, and my iPad 10.2 from the USB C port to both power it and use it as a graphics pad. Besides Sidecar allows me to use it as an additional monitor. I can run a standard USB hub for low latency devices such as a laser printer. I have a high-speed card reader for the other types of camera cards I have (XD and Compact Flash). Everything works smoothly and fast. This hub taps into the full power of these new Macbooks. It does not limit you. Besides you have on free Thunderbolt 3 port remaining for other devices if desired. My first Brydge product was a Keyboard for my iPad 10,2. I was so impressed by it that I had to keep it in the Brydge family. I am impressed with their quality, and reliability. One last thing the color is a perfect match. The other hubs color is a shade or two off. So unleash the full power of your Thunderbolt 3 port with this hub.

Bought this USB-C hub to connect my MacBook Air, audio interface and midi keyboard. I ordered this item first, as I am building a home studio. After all equipment arrived and I got the chance to use the Hub for its intended purpose - connecting multiple devices to use at once. This item was horrible, I couldn’t go 3 minutes without have the Stone Pro power off each device and power it back on. I thought maybe I shouldn’t use all ports at once and simply connected my computer, audio interface and mouse - still did nothing to solve the problem. I have requested a return/refund as I have an $80 sidecar usb hub that handles all devices mentioned with no problem for a fraction of the cost.

I’ve enjoyed this accessory for my MacBook Pro. My only complaint is that it gets quite warm and even though the design leads you to believe that you can set the MacBook on it I wouldn’t recommend it. It provides plenty of power for charging as well as ports for additional accessories.
