“The standing desk works fine. It did not need 3 acres of bespoke (i.e. not reusable because it was fit to form) Styrofoam PLUS giant plastic bag covering. This is not a water-soluble product and is plenty sturdy enough to survive delivery with paper or cardboard padding in its way over-sized box.”
“I love this desk, it's doing very well for me in my home office. But, there were 2 frustrating things I had to overcome before I could use it.
1. When I opened the box, there were 5 (five!) screws that had come loose and fallen out. One other that was almost out, as well. These were all in spots that were hard to reach with my allen wrench to put back in and tighten. C'mon guys, how hard is it to check the screws one last time before sealing the box?
2. There are two stickers on the top surface that have to be removed prior to use. One came off just fine. The second, "To tilt keyboard, loosen knob," was stuck on so well, it left all the glue residue behind. This sticker is right where you would place your mouse, so it's not possible to ignore the 2" x 3" sticky spot. Window cleaner did not remove it. Isopropyl alcohol didn't remove it. Nail polish remover didn't remove it. Soap and water didn't remove it. Straight dish soap didn't remove it. If you're counting, that's 5 things I tried before I got the glue to come off with...olive oil. I would definitely give a higher rating if the desk, which is pretty expensive, were truly ready to go right out of the box, as was claimed. I truly hope this feedback will help BTOD improve their product.”
