VertDesk v3 Electric Sit Stand Desk w/ Voice Control Reviews

4.8 Rating 657 Reviews
The desk is well made and was easy to assemble. Had one small problem with the placement of the wire management piece. The video didn't warn about not putting it too close to the control box and we had a hard time plugging in the cables after the piece was already glued down. Our desk was slightly smaller than the desk on the video and the space was tighter. The control switch is super easy to use and the motor to raise and lower the desk is very smooth and quiet. I love the desk and would highly recommend.

Very sturdy desk. So far I'm very happy with the decision to get a VertDesk v3. I'm also pleased with the surface material (laminate). I'll likely upgrade the top at some point, but for now the laminate is just fine and looks far nicer than I expected.

Straightforward assembly process with helpful videos. So far my desk has just worked. It is solid and stable. The top's color and pattern matches up very well with the close up shots I looked through on the website. The upgraded control is well worth the extra cost and the motor seems to be doing great so far. Highly recommend this desk!

So far it's great. 4 days of use, runs smooth, super sturdy. It's a beast. Very heavy. Not practical to move locations without disassembling and reassembling. Moving across the room, or into the next room, sure, with a friend. But if you want to move to a new home or office, you'll want to take it apart. In fact, I'm even considering eventually ditching this desktop (which weighs slightly less than an adolescent gorilla) and going with a thinner, lighter bamboo top from another company. Of course, I'd have to get shorter screws to attach it, since the ones that come with the v3 are long enough to sink into this super thick desktop. I keep thinking I overspent considering the cheaper options out there, but then again, you get what you pay for- made in the USA with German electronics and motor. And those Germans can make a mean motor machine, amiright? But yeah, overall, it seems to be very high quality, very well made, I even lean on it sometimes when standing to work and it doesn't sway or feel burdened in any way. Highly recommend the programmable buttons despite the ridiculous extra cost. (Gimme a break BTOD, those should be standard.) It's nice to just press the button and know that it will go to the exact spot you want it every time. Not a fan of the desktop color options but went with the Stromboli with silver base to keep things on the brighter side, and am decently happy with the choice. The best of less than great choices, in my opinion. My friend who helped me assemble it even let out an "Oooh!" when we unboxed it. So, ya know, impress your friends with Stromboli? Assembly was pretty simple, though I was happy to have an impact driver screw gun on hand. Definitely have a screw gun! And a friend. And a beer. Or wine, if that's your thing. Not a toke, though, because you might wind up attaching the drive shaft to your dog or something. I chose to not pay extra for grommet holes because, like, they would only be an inch from the back of the desk anyway, which is where my cables currently go. Then I just use some clips and tape and whatever to manage the cables underneath. They even included a few little doo-dads for that, which I haven't employed yet but appreciate the gesture. One thing to note. I'm 5'6" and this desk only just barely goes low enough if I'm sitting on a standard kitchen table type chair. So if you're my height or shorter, firstly, I'm sorry, but secondly, consider having an adjustable chair that will get you up an extra inch or two for proper ergonomic wrist angle action. The dangers of carpal tunnel are real, folks. Be safe out there.

The desk looks great, the electronics work well, and it is very stable. I am of pretty average height, so haven't pushed it to it's limits, but very much enjoying it so far. I read online that it was difficult to assemble, and I am not entirely sure where that feedback came from. It did take two of us, but that's because the parts are pretty large and heavy. Even so, the fact it came in two boxes (one for the desktop and one for everything else) meant that I (5'5" not particularly strong woman) could shuffle each box into my apartment - though I'm very glad we didn't have to deal with any stairs!

Its a great desk. I had someone who knows how to do these things assemble mine so I can't comment on that, but ease of assembly is very important, so it would be good to know what others think about it. A day in and I love the desk.
