“One of the screws for the arm did not be fit which leaves it unstable. Looks like the threading is a bit narrow where the screw doesn't tighten all the way. I am pretty disappointed as I have been waiting for the chair for over a month.”
“It came down to this chair and a significantly more expensive chair by a quite famous brand. BTOD's video comparison of this chair vs that chair was extremely honest and (having now sat in both chairs) very accurate. The Vera was the right choice. I had an issue with the delivery and BTOD's staff handled it the instant I reached out to them (wasn't their fault at all). BTOD is the best office furniture seller on the planet, hands down. Overall, it was an excellent experience. I am sitting in the Vera as I write this review and I couldn't be happier with it.
I was worried the moveable armrests would move when I didn't want them to, but that has absolutely not been the case. The chair is able to go higher and lower than my last chair and is far more comfortable to rock in. The seat bottom cushion is very comfortable and the lower back support is excellent. I could easily see paying far more for this chair.
Between the white glove service and this amazing chair, I wish I could add even more stars to this review. Definitely a customer for life.”
“The cushion is the most comfortable i have sat in. Also since there is no frame or contour on the sides, i can stick my leg out the side of the chair which is really comfortable to do with the leg on your mouse side. The backrest is great, it does get a lot of fuzzys in it from clothing, but removing them isn't too difficult. The height adjustment offers a good range. I am able to sit comfortably in this chair for computer work or use it for watching TV in the lowest height and reclined. The armrest are sold and really comfortable, i have really long arms, so having them adjust a little further lower would have been great. The backrest is really solid and supportive in reclined positions. However for taller users, because the seat depth is somewhat shallow, the lumbar may be too obtrusive in the upright position. The seat depth isn't a deal breaker because of how great everything else is.”
“I've had my Vera for about a week now, sitting in it for at least 10 hours a day and I'm mostly happy with it. The seat cushion is very comfortable and the backrest is perfect. Quality seems good. Casters are great and glide over the carpet. Armrests have lots of adjustability. My only two issues with the design of the Vera relate to the seat base.
The seat base is very short from front to back. I am about 6' 1" 185lbs with a 34" inseam and even with the base extended all the way forward and me forcing myself as far back as I can sit, there is about 4" of a gap between the front of the chair and the back of my knees. Sitting in a more natural position, the gap is closer to 5-6". I mostly don't notice this if the chair height is set low, but when at the optimal height I really feel the edge of the seat cushion on the back of my thighs. The seat pan really needs to be at least a few inches longer. I don't know who could use this chair with the seat pan not adjusted fully forward, but I have to guess they would be barely over 5' tall.
This leads into the 2nd fault with the chair. The short seat length would not be as much of an issue if the base had a separate tilt adjustment. Since the base cannot be tilted separately from the back's recline mode, the seat length issue is much more noticeable.
All in all, this is a very comfortable chair if you are shorter than around 5' 8" or if you sit low enough to not notice the length of the seat pan. Quality and comfort are excellent if you fit the chair.”
