“Pretty good chair with versatile adjustments and decent seat comfort.
I purchased it because of the headrest, unfortunately, that part happened to be poorly designed and not comfortable at all. Even with three ways to adjustments, you cannot bring it closer to your neck, resulting in headrest being way too far away and not comfortably supporting head at all.”
“The seat cushion is nice and comfortable. The mesh back is comfortable but after a while it becomes less so. My biggest issue with this chair is that the controls underneath the chair are sharp and it is easy to scratch my legs on them if I move my legs underneath the seat. I have had to cover the controls with cloth to avoid this. I understand this is more like a mid grade office chair but I have owned MUCH cheaper chairs and have never hurt myself just by moving my legs to the wrong spot.”
“I had high hopes for my BTOD purchase. I watched their videos over and over to make sure I picked the best ergonomic chair for my needs. I absolutely need an adjustable-height back, and BTOD's video stated that the only chair among their top tier was "The OM Yes chair," with no mention that "OM" stood for anything or no suggestion that there are differing versions of the chair. So, I searched for "OM Yes chair" on the BTOD website and ordered one. But before finalizing the purchase, I read their return policy, which lists several makes of chair that are not returnable. The name "OM" was not on the list. So I ordered the chair. When it arrived, I assembled it and quickly discovered that the back is NOT height adjustable. I sent BTOD an email saying that this was not the correct chair and I need to return it. BTOD responded that there are actually a couple of different OM Yes chair models, and the one I was unlucky enough to click on happened to be the wrong one, . The video provides no hint of this; it just says that the "œThe OM Yes chair" has an adjustable-height back. Also, it turns out that OM stands for "œOffice Master," which the video makes no mention of, and that alternate rendering of the manufacturer's name is on the BTOD "œno-return" list. So now I'm out several hundred dollars and am stuck with an uncomfortable chair I can't use. My only recourse is to write a negative review, which I do not enjoy doing. Buyers beware.”
“Arrived with no damage. Assembly was extremely simple and took more time to get out of the package then to put together.
Got the 3way headrest assuming it meant tilt, height, and depth. Instead it just has tilt and height. Can lay my head on it when reclining watching a show and its nice and flat so if I want to rest it against the side of my head its not a problem. Only issue I have if I'm sitting up straight for typing or gaming I need a little pillow to get any use out of it.
Seat has alot of cushion and won't bottom out on it. Occasionally I'll sit cross legged with one leg up on the chair and have no discomfort from doing it on this seat, plenty of room.
The back is a mesh back.. you'll like it if you like mesh backs. Plenty wide for my slightly wide shoulders to not hit the frame. Love the design for raising and lowering height of the back, but will occasionally raise it when shifting around in seat.”
“The marquesa lana cushion has a very scratchy texture so it is no comfortable if you are wearing shorts. Im 5'8 and the arm rests at max height are too low for me to reach my desk and rest my elbows. The headrest does not touch my head unless I force it back. I have the 3 way adjustable headrest and it barely moves past the seat back. Be careful as you cannot return OM products.”
“I placed my order on April 28th and a couple of hours later I got told that the basic black seat was out of stock. I had to wait a month because of this which is annoying but whatever, can't really do anything about that. After getting the chair I realized that they didn't send the headrest I ordered and the backrest of the chair is bent to the right a little. I assume this is because they ship the backrest already attached to the chair (or at least mine was) and it got bent in shipping. After contacting support was told that this is normal and there is no defect. The actual chair is fine except for the backrest. Maybe just look for a different chair somewhere else.”
“I wanted to buy a chair with good headrest. A headrest that is there when I want, not there when i dont want it. The only thing that disappointed me about this chair was the tilt. I dont know why I assumed that all modern chairs would have synchro tilt. The tilt is multi function as the same says. I saw BTOD review on armrest being wobbly, but I'll say not enough to bother me.”
“I spend 9.5 hours per day sitting at the computer. My sciatica had gotten really bad/painful. I researched chairs for 22 full days and picked this chair. Very easy to assemble, and it has truly helped the pain (along with some stretching). Great lumbar support and the seat is the perfect density,of soft and firm. Armrest are adjustable in height and nice. Headrest is a great addition.”
