Customer service is great, very quick to respond when contacted. The chair is a good product but not really for me. It leave my legs felling strained after sitting for a while. Happy with the service received.

Ordered the non-returnable outlet version to save a few dollars. Chair functionally works but has a few noticeable dings and scratches. Pros: amazing adjustable armrests, promotes good sitting posture, fabric is new and too rough, lumbar support is very aggressive Cons: definitely refurbished- does not look new, seat is not wide enough to sit crossed-legged, lumbar support can feel a little too pokey in the spine but getting it in the right position fixes that, sometimes I wish I can just recline all the way and lay my head back but no head rest Will buy again if the price is right.

I got a really good chair that is guaranteed to last a long time. The Steelcase chairs need extra seat foam for most of us non-office people and the refurbishing process adds that to make this a comfortable chair. I honestly like it better than the Herman Miller Embody that I paid about twice as much for. This chair does not have a perfect design but it is very good and at a reasonable price it's awesome.

The chair is clean, works well and is very comfortable. It was worth the investment for my home office.

One important note in response to other reviews I've seen about the seat height adjustment lever not working: on my chair, the metal tab that sticks out of the seat pan and fits into the height adjustment lever (this is the piece that presses on & activates the cylinder when you lift the lever) got loose/out of place during shipment or installation. If you have a piece of loose metal hanging out out next to your height adjustment lever, you need to push down on the plastic lever with some force until it opens on its hinge, reposition the metal tab so it sits in the cutout on the top left side of the lever, then push the plastic lever back up until everything clicks back into place. Try using the seat adjustment lever again and see if that fixes the problem. Something to try before attempting to disassemble the chair again! Other than that, my chair (outlet, black frame/black fabric/carpet casters/greener option) had no major damage or issues - only minor cosmetic scratches to the seat pan underside, the arms, lumbar adjustment tabs, and lumbar firmness knob. The seat is significantly more cushioned than as-is Steelcase chairs I've tried, and actually smells really nice, I think from the cleaning process? Overall, I'm very happy with the quality of this chair and the speed at which it shipped out. I was a bit worried about taking the risk on a non-refundable outlet chair, but I'm really glad I did given the almost-new quality chair I received, the 12 year warranty, and the amount of money I saved doing so.

Because I purchased this chair through the Outlet Store, I received an additional discount. It came in like new condition. Actually, I would not have been able to see any difference between this chair and a new one. Everything works well and is very comfortable for me. What also impressed me was the that the sales consultant didn't just want to sell me a chair, but was a real consultant (not just an order taker) and wanted to make sure it was the best match for me. They asked a number of important questions so I would be able to make the right decision. I also spent quite a bit of time on Youtube watching the outstanding BTOD videos on the various chairs that are available and that lead me to BTOD which I otherwise would not have known about. Thanks for all your help

The chair was in like new condition. The only oddity is the left side of the seat routinely pops and creaks. It's as if the seat has an adjustment or crease in the seat pan. So far it hasn't failed, but the sound is unnerving. Otherwise it's the same comfortable Leap that I know and love from my office chairs over the last decade.
