a little easier to assemble than the Upton, but much softer wood, phenomenal quality for the price point

A quality platform bed at a very reasonable cost. All the pieces were clearly marked and well packaged. Assembly was a snap using the enclosed instructions and very stable once constructed. I would highly recommend this product and the company.

I bought 2 queen size bed frames ... the packages came to me intact except a few minor dings to the corners of package ... the wood was intact .... construction plans were easy to follow ... my only complaints is that I kept stripping Phillip head screws provided ... I purchased square head wood screws from Home Depot which worked well ... so I recommend Carolina Leg Co replace the Phillip head screws with square head screws

Excellent craftsmanship, love that the slats fit into notches in the frame - they’re not going anywhere! A slight lip around the top of the frame to keep the mattress from sliding is the only design improvement I can think of. This is a very solid bed that won’t fall apart. Communications re delivery time lagged a bit, but I assume that’s because this smaller scale, American company is busy. Thank you, Carolina Leg Co.

Very solid bed. Easy to put together. Perfect to paint or stain ourselves as currently undecided.

Nice looking, good price. The size is a bit confusing because 60" is the outside width, not the inner part from one side to the other where the mattress goes. So if your mattress is 60" wide it may not fit. Luckily I have a futon that can be "squished" into the space. I am still putting it together so don't know for sure is squishing is required! If you have MCS the smell of the wood - althought entirely natural - may bother you (it does me) so I still have the parts in the living room. I put the headboard together and unfortunately the person who wrote the instructions assumed that we can magically put a drill at the exact right angle into the holes so that we can make a straight hole into the piece it attaches to, which is impossible. Because the only way to do it results in the hole being at an angle. I thought, "This must be what they intended, because it is impossible to make a straight shot unless you could magically put half the drill inside the wood." But no, that is not what they meant. They just apparently never tried it or the instructions are wrong and they should have said to drill the holes in BEFORE putting the wooden dowels into the openings on the side boards. AND maybe it would help to have some marks exactly where the holes need to be drilled and tell us how deep to drill or what size drill bit to use. SO, what ended up happening is that the wood screws went right through the front of my headboard and I now have 6 sharps screws popping out on the front of my headboard. I suppose I will take a tool and cut them down, but it won't look pretty. Also, I'm not sure if putting this together by yourself is possible. I didn't get the baseboard connected to the headboard yet by was trying that and struggling for quite a while, using boxes to prop up the pieces. I have spent a total of about 2 hours so far. I think I might have another 2 hours of work. With two people it is likely easier.

Really really nice product. Very pleased with the quality and craftsmanship. A buy-it-for-life type of product. My only note of constructive feedback is maybe better packaging or a cap of some kind to protect the dowels. I had a few that were broken. It was all packed very nicely; but we all know shipping is really hard on such heavy and cumbersome items, so the one end was pretty beat up. Not the end of the world; easy enough to drill out and replace (I'm not a woodworker, but handy enough and have decent mechanic-oriented tools, power tools, etc). Super affordable, too ("cheap" frames on Amazon, Wayfair, etc can be the same price). Overall, super happy with the purchase! Cheers!
