“The frame is very well made. Solid wood feels very sturdy. The color of the natural wood is beautiful and the wood grain adds a lot of character. The large slats are over engineered. You can walk on the mattress and the frame won't move or make a noise. It's great.
Be aware that the little wrench that came with the frame is very flimsy and easily bend. I had to use my own wrench to tighten the nuts.
I'm a little disappointed at the headboard. It's 3 pieces of wood glued together. Given the price point and the pictures, I was expecting it would be one piece and not multiple pieces glued together. The headboard was the main reason why I got the frame. Mine looks very obvious that there are 3 pieces glued together since they don't match every well. Plus there are sign of some kind of beetle damage. I can replace it later, but the headboard was the point of getting the frame.”

“Amazing bed frame. I did tons of research and I'm so happy I found Carolina Leg Co. The frame oesn't squeek or shake and feels like it is built to last, unlike other beds you can find from some of the major retailers. It comes unfinished. I used Rubio Monocoat Pure and the ash turns a lovely light honey color & brings the grain out well. Very easy to put together. The design is beautiful. I love everything about this frame & highly recommend it if you want a sturdy, beautiful frame!”
“This bed is made in the USA and the quality shows! It didn't take too long to put together, but it did take 2 people. It is the perfect height for under the bed storage. We painted the frame with chalk paint and stained the headboard. It's a beautiful bed! The lead time was about 3 weeks. Be patient, the wait is worth it!”
“Fantastic bed. I finished mine with some Rubio monocoat. Originally, one of the pieces they sent out was missing some parts. I emailed and they responded within minutes. They sent out a whole new part the next day. This did take a month to ship but well worth the wait, but keep in mind if you need a bed asap. You won’t find a solid wood bed for this price anywhere else.”
