“Very happy with my new ChessUp. Shipping was fast, setting up was very easy. The minimalistic design is beautiful. Although made of plastic the board does not look or feel cheap. What I find irritating though is the amount of time the device uses for "thinking" when not connected to the app. And I would appreciate an "all lights off" mode. I do not need the computer to show me which moves a piece is allowed to make.”
“Not a REVIEW - but a suggestion (which I am sure you probably thought of)... Have a button to push to flip the board around. This would also entail changing the coordinates a-h and 1-8. It is cumbersome to be turning the board around when randomly selecting White/Black and I get Black. I am still learning how to use it as the learning curve seems to be steep (at least for me) and instruction is very basic. I am 'figuring it out by watching YouTube users and playing around with it myself. For example, the 'Learn' is not on the app where the year-old videos show it to be. It is not there at all. I like the unit, but... it can be improved in other major ways such as video instruction. Thanks for reading. :)”

The board itself is so clever, the way it works is perfectly rendered. We have all played it, including my 4 year old, without fault. The app works very well with the board and it's so amazing to watch my 14 year old play with AI and online users alike! What a great product!
