How satisfied were you with the planning of your itinerary?

Describe the aspects of your itinerary that you thought needs improving I was told our 14 year old couldn’t do certain activities on the boat which lead to a lot of stress as one of us would have to stay behind on the ship with him and miss out. As it turned he was allowed to do all the activities ie kayaking, camping on the ice. So the stress and emails and changing decisions were unnecessary. Next time I will book directly with the parent company Intrepid so I get accurate information. The cruise on Ocean Endeavour was absolutely fantastic!!

Please share your thoughts on any specific tours or hotels that you would recommend or would not recommend? Do everything on offer!!

Were any of the activities you participated in during your trip designed to protect the environment? If so, please share details about your experience. Detailed checks of our clothes and equipment with staff to ensure everything was clean. Boots washed with antiseptic before and after every zodiac adventure.

Please share your thoughts on any specific tours or hotels that you would recommend or would not recommend? All the hotel / resort accomodations throughout Chile and Argentina were of high standard with excellent staff. In Buenos Aires, I would consider using a hotel in the new harbour area of the city in stead of Recoleta area of the city as it would make many more of the sites accessible when walking.

We are always looking at ways to improve our sustainability efforts. Can you tell us about any initiatives you saw at the accommodations you stayed at to conserve energy or reduce waste? Please specify the town/city and hotel name where you observed these Accomodation encouraged the re-use of linen. water fountains were also provide to re-fill bottles to reduce waste.

Were any of the activities you participated in during your trip designed to protect the environment? If so, please share details about your experience. Strict bio-security procedures aboard the ship prior to boarding zodiacs and again upon return to the ship to protect the Antarctic continent and wildlife from any cross contamination risk.

How satisfied were you with the planning of your itinerary?

Describe the aspects of your itinerary that you thought needs improving overnight camping and day paddle cancelled but the weather controlled that and could not be helped.

Please share your thoughts on any specific tours or hotels that you would recommend or would not recommend? great where we stayed up on the hill, restaurant down on the water we all went to, fantastic to compensate that we waited an extra day to start.

Describe the aspects of your itinerary that you thought worked really well. no

“Excellent, staff with Itrepid were excellent as were the ship staff and meals, all the talks/lectures/presentations were extremely interesting and especially the Citizen Scientist where we went out collecting data. Daily excursions were fantastic although there was some difference in the enthusiasm of some of guides when others in other gropus told what they had done and we felt , well we did't get that degree of exposure with information and destinations. Overall , loved it although the Drake Passage gave us trouble going over, but changed to Phenergan 10mg on way back and heaps better. Polar Plunge and a double vodka was the highlight. thanks for the experience”

We are always looking at ways to improve our sustainability efforts. Can you tell us about any initiatives you saw at the accommodations you stayed at to conserve energy or reduce waste? Please specify the town/city and hotel name where you observed these On the Ocean Endeavour we were encouraged to reuse towels etc to minimize water use; single use water bottles were discouraged.

Were any of the activities you participated in during your trip designed to protect the environment? If so, please share details about your experience. Boots were disinfected before and after each landing in Antarctica to protect wildlife. We were given clear instructions about where we could walk on each landing and were not allowed to sit/put bags on the ground to minimize contamination.

“An amazing trip to Antarctica, I enjoyed every minute. The scenery and wildlife were breathtaking and unlike anywhere else I have been. Highly recommend travelling there with Chimu/Intrepid. The boat staff and the Intrepid team went to great efforts to ensure we thoroughly enjoyed our experience.”
