Describe the aspects of your itinerary that you thought needs improving As mentioned above the itinerary was continually "tweaked" to enable all passengers the best possibilities to enjoy all aspects of the expedition.

“Take the opportunity to visit any areas of Antacrtica before it becomes too crowded with the number of various companies offering expeditions to the region.”

Describe the aspects of your itinerary that you thought needs improving Late night/early morning flights - it retrospect it would've been better to have overnighted in key places rather than have the grind of sitting in airports and trying to keep our eyes open for boarding time.

Describe the aspects of your itinerary that you thought worked really well. The expedition vessel. Large enough to be comfortable but small enough to make everything easy from meal times to excursions ashore.

Describe the aspects of your itinerary that you thought needs improving I’m not sure if it could be achieved but the overuse of the PA system was a bit of an issue. Too many announcements which were repeating what we were told at briefings and what was on the television.

“Unlike anything I've experienced. Very hard to describe and the many videos you see do not do Antarctica justice. It's not just scenery it's the feelings the area evoke.”

“Every view is amazing, each day brings something new and unexpected. If you can afford it, and have been thinking of going, your expectations will be exceeded. Its truly unforgettable.”

“Don’t know what to say. Words cannot describe it. It was one of the best holidays I’ve ever had. A trip of a lifetime. Very organized, Chimu’s arrangements were on the spot. Erica did a great job in organizing everything for us. We got plenty to do on the tour, the zodiacs, hiking and kayaking. All in all, 6 out of 5 :)”

Describe the aspects of your itinerary that you thought worked really well. The included charter flights from Buenos Aires to/from Ushuaia were very well organised.

Describe the aspects of your itinerary that you thought needs improving Coffee on board Ponant is awful!!! Be prepared for flight delays - both Latam and Aerolineas are notorious for last minute cancellations, schedule changes and gate changes. Airports in South America generally do not post the departure gate until 2 hours before the departure time at the earliest and virtually no public announcements are made in English.

Were you satisfied with the efforts taken to minimize environmental impacts during your trip?

“I went with Ponant but only because I got an unbeatable special deal for solo travellers, my own balcony cabin 30% off and no single supplement. The ship is nice but the French food is over the top with way too much seafood, cakes and pastries. However the expedition team and naturalists on board were awesome, the cabin well appointed and all staff very good. I did get tired of everything having to be presented twice, once in French and again in English. The landings and zodiac cruising were excellent, the wildlife was amazing with stunning scenery. I strongly recommend including South Georgia in your Antarctic itinerary as this is where we saw the most profilic wildlife.”
