Describe the aspects of your itinerary that you thought worked really well. The preparation and briefings for the following day activities. The split of activities between the landings and zodiac cruises was very good.

Describe the aspects of your itinerary that you thought needs improving Pre trip information communication regarding more detailed boarding and return information enabling flights to be booked with more confidence. Greater ability to contact direct with Chimu or the tour operator for the departure and return times and disembarking process.

“This trip is definitely a one in a lifetime to do but it would be great to do it again - absolutely excellent. The Ocean Albatros was only 3 years old so everything was new in ship age. The cabins, restaurants and theatre were very comfortable with the crew being very engaging to ensure everything was ready for our trip. The expeditions were fantastic and the guides very knowledgeable and professional in their work. The welcome evening was very good so that we knew who everyone was and their roles. With the ship being small with only 180 passengers it made it feel very personalised. The preparation and briefings for the landings and zodiac cruises was very good and efficient ensuring we maximised the time available. We were very fortunate with the weather that every day was good and no interruptions to the planned expeditions.”

“We had an amazing holiday in Antarctica, we were on Polar Latitudes SeaVenture which was awesome. Chimu put the itinerary together and all was near perfect, with transfers and bookings working seamlessly.”

“An Adventure of a LiFETIME!! I crossed the Antarctic Circle! Review of Oceanwide Expeditions A lifetime of Wow in 23 days! Exceptional in all aspects regarding the crew and facilities of the M/V Hondius, while the Expedition Team gave me an adventure I will always carry in my heart. Yes the weather was fantastic, yes the wildlife was everything and more but it was the experience to explore this unique place in our world that was so exciting and wonderful. No amount of money is enough for what I received in return. From the captain to those that fed and looked after me on board, all were professional, thorough in their duties and most impressively were genuinely happy and always greeted me by name and with a smile. The attention to cleanliness on board was exceptional and appreciated especially in today’s world. My balcony cabin was just the best, and I took advantage of every moment. I woke to icebergs floating by as a seal slept on top, the blow of whales and the sight of the thrashing of their fluke as if to welcome me to their home, or dolphins catching the waves as though playing with the ship, all whilst passing sculptures of walls of icebergs blinding me with their brilliance of blues and greens reflected in the water. They were so close it was enough to feel like I could reach out and touch them as we sailed to destinations that made me feel as though I was on a set in a movie. As well I experienced so many landings by zodiacs zooming across the waters of The Southern Ocean, sometimes covered in sheets of ice or waves whipped up by a dramatic change in weather ( now that was exciting !!) arriving to scenes reminiscent of Jurassic Park and witnessing with my own eyes the beauty of Antartica seen in documentaries. Many times I felt like David Attenborough!! So much and more than I could ever have imagined! This will stay with me forever Date of experience: February 2026”

Describe the aspects of your itinerary that you thought needs improving Congestion and having to line up during mealtimes. More Western style menu choices would have been appreciated.
