Describe the aspects of your itinerary that you thought worked really well. All of it! Cruising in the zodiacs and using the zodiacs for landings worked very well. The ship's crew and the Expedition guides gave instructions and helped us board and disembark the zodiacs each time, giving most guests the option to go ashore or cruise in the zodiacs. The ship's Captain and the Expedition Leader constantly watched the weather so we chased the best weather windows to see as much as possible. By doing this we were able to see everything. Also, this trip was the longest which was great as we had more opportunities to do landings in good weather windows.
Describe the aspects of your itinerary that you thought needs improving The itinerary is great as it is, I don't think it could be improved.

Most amazing and incredible voyage I have ever done, and I have travelled a lot. Every day just got better and better. The subantarctic islands of NZ and Macquarie Island (Aust) are also must do's - just incredible wildlife. Macquarie Island - I will never forget standing close to thousands of King penguins, the colony went as far as you could see. Also the colony of Royal penguins and the gentoos. Snares, Enderby, Auckland and Campbell island are also incredible and all are different. Snares - crested penguins, Enderby - yellow eyed penguins and all these islands had many albatross and chicks - truly amazing. Also seals, sealions and elephant seals. Antartica - still trying to take it all in! It was breathtaking every day. The wildlife is fantastic - Adelie, Chinstrap (Balleny Islands), and Emperor penguins. The emperors were very special - we saw them in small groups on the Ross Ice Shelf in McMurdo Sound and on the ice in other areas - including the ice that we walked onto which was a special experience itself. We visited all 5 historic huts - Hillary's at Scott Base, Shackleton's at Cape Royds, Scott's at Hut Point next to McMurdo Base, Scott's at Cape Evans (Terra Nova Expedition) and Borchgrevink's at Cape Adare. It was a very special experience to visit each of these huts and to try to understand the very difficult and extreme cold conditions that these explorers lived in. It was emotional too, as some of them did not return. There were crosses on some of the hills - we did walks to some of them. Another highlight was cruising a long the Ross Sea Ice Shelf after dinner in the long evenings (we had midnight sun) with pods of orcas and other whales, and watching Mt Erebus change to a beautiful pink as it got closer to midnight. There were so many special experiences it is hard to mention them all. We also saw a blue whale, fin whales, humpbacks and some others. Many varieties of birds also. The ship, Heritage Adventurer, was wonderful. The ship's Captain, officers, crew and the Heritage Expedition Team were fantastic and did everything they could to give us an amazing and once in a lifetime experience. I would thoroughly recommend this trip.

It was a very exciting experience. We were taken to a number of very different locations. Fortunately for us the weather was mostly very kind to us. There were only a few days of inclement weather and mainly when we were at sea.

The whole experience was an adventure. The ship, the crew, the expedition guides, other passengers, safety, weather, food, cleanliness, lectures, the organisation, the Drake lake, was all amazing. Then there was Antarctica ... breathtaking scenery, ice bergs, seals on ice bergs, penguins on land and ice bergs, whale tails, sea birds.
