A classic never goes out of style. The newly reimagined Promaster Dive Automatic men’s watch by Citizen goes deeper into the history of the original version of this diving watch that was released in 1989 for the new generation of dive watch enthusiasts. A design element that stands out is the distinctive, serrated bezel design that was inspired by a “Fugu,” the Japanese name for pufferfish. Featuring a 3-piece, 44mm case, anti-reflective sapphire crystal, and durable blue polyurethane strap, the blue easy grip aluminum ring surrounds the white fully luminous dial, while the case back features an engraving of a fugu or pufferfish. This technically advanced and stylish men’s sport watch powered by the motion of your wrist comes in an exclusive collector’s dive tank box and is ISO compliant with a screw-down crown and water resistant to 200 meters. Caliber 8204.

This is my first real automatic watch and honestly I’m impressed. I’ve been wearing smartwatches for years, so switching to a mechanical timepiece felt like a big step but this Citizen completely won me over. The build quality is solid, the weight feels right on the wrist, and it looks way more expensive than it actually is. The automatic movement is smooth and satisfying to watch, and once you understand how to properly set AM vs PM, everything works exactly as it should. I’ll be honest I misunderstood the AM/PM setup at first, but after reading the booklet and learning how the date change cycle works, it made total sense. That’s on me, not the watch. I actually enjoy winding it and wearing something that doesn’t need charging. There’s something different about knowing it’s powered by movement instead of a battery. For anyone buying their first automatic watch, this is a great choice. It looks sharp, feels premium, and makes you appreciate time in a different way. I’m glad I chose Citizen for my first real watch definitely won’t be my last. Highly recommend.

I do like the watch. The full lume is a bit much when you can’t make out the hands in the brightness. The other issue I have is, after buying 10 Citizen dive watches, is the strap. The Chinese made straps are just a little bit too wide to go through the loops. It is usually a struggle to get it to lie flat. I usually buy an aftermarket strap. I love Citizen and will continue to look at new divers

Watch is beautiful and has a surprising amount of luminescence in low light. Crown position is perfect for comfort and any one that needs to remove gloves while wearing the watch. This is a feature I didn't realize I needed while wearing the watch at work.

Lume dial is very cool. Nice contrast between the DLC case and lume dial. Very comfortable on the wrist, and a great summer watch with the rubber strap.

I have been wearing a citizen eco drive for 20 years, the watch has never let me down. My ech drive continues to run flawlessly. So when I decided to purchase a new watch of course citizen was the only choice I wanted. I purchased the full loom ny0137-09a. What a fantastic watch, a true tool watch, capable of handling all the outdoor activities I will put it through. The watch wears nicely. I would say it wears about like a 42 mm despite being a 44mm. The dial is legible and clear, the loom is unbelievable, the bezel action is fantastic, and very interactive, lining up with indices and the pip at 12;00 quite well. when a watch looks and feels like it can go anywhere it becomes a part of gear that you do not have to worry about, there when you need it, always up for any environment, or challenge. The accuracy is much better than expected at this price point, running 6-10 seconds fast per day, for the price point I don’t think you can find a better time piece or tool watch.
