Mochi are increasingly popular desserts in the UK. Learn how to make these delicious Japanese delicacies at this creative London baking class.

Taught by an experienced chef, you'll gain a range of new culinary skills and will learn the history and culture behind this popular dessert. You will often find it is a small class in a spacious shop with air conditioning. More often get a private class if booking on weekdays.

Throughout your London cooking class, you'll learn how to:
- Make the dessert pastry.
- Wrap your desserts.
- Decorate and serve what you've made.

Learning new baking skills and immersing yourself in the history of these tasty desserts, this culinary journey to Japan will treat your mind and your taste buds.

By the end of this dessert class in London, you'll have created delicious Japanese desserts to take home and enjoy – Mochi in many flavours, and you'll have the skills and know-how to recreate them at home later.

Add-on Classes
- All Add-ons are in the same class. It is to save your time and make the class more fun. Please allow extra time, 30 minutes to 1 hour. You can always contact us before booking to find out more details.
- It is more tasty and fun to add bubble cocktail while you are making the desserts.
- You can find some of the Add-ons in pictures showing above. Welcome to drop us a message to find out the details.
- Add Advanced Mochi to make more beautiful and delicious dessert. Gluten is required in this add-on. Requires an extra 30 minutes.
- Add Mochi Ice-cream to make a few mochi with ice-cream inside. Our homemade ice-cream contains milk. It takes an extra 15 minutes.
- Add Turnip Cake if you like savoury rice cake. It could contains dried shrimp and dried Chinese pork sausage. If you prefer not to have them, please leave a not at the booking stage.
- Festival Special Drinks featuring warm drinks, Butterbeer, Christmas Special Mulled Wine and Hot Chocolate with Rum.

- Could suitable to Gluten-free, Dairy-free and Vegan. Leave us a note at booking stage. We will arrange it for you.
- Milk and Butter used for better taste. Plant-based is possible, though the taste and presentation will be different. Leave us a note at booking stage. We will arrange it for you.
- Nuts and sesame seeds might be used depending on the flavour you choose.

Important Notes
- Price shows here is for one person. Every one requires a valid ticket in order to stay in the class, regardless whether participants in the class or just taking photos.
- The estimated class duration time is only a reference based on 12 persons in the class. It covers the entire experience, from the minute you arriving until you eating all the food. Don't worry if you need more time. And be proud if you take less time.
- Please do not bring any outside food or beverages.
- This is an adult-only class (18+). For safety reasons, the class is not suitable for pregnant women.
- We have a strict 15-minute lateness policy. If you arrive more than 15 minutes after the scheduled start time, your booking will be cancelled without a refund or reschedule.

Refund and Reschedule
- If you need to reschedule, a £50 fee per person applies. The request must be made and the fee paid at least one week prior to your class date.
- If you are unable to attend, you are welcome to transfer your ticket to a friend or family member (18+). If you want to do this, simply notify us of the new attendee's name.
- The best way you can help the micro business is that, If you cannot attend booked classes, please give it to your friends and family. They will thank you for that as our classes are excellent. They will return the favour to you. It is win-win-win for all.

I was so pleased that I wa the only student in the Mochi making class because it was a weekday. So nice of them not to cancel it. I arrived early and started straight away. All was well prepared in advance. I am planning to attend their other classes.

It was so interesting and I learned this new art of how to make mochi. Additionally, I also got the whole historical context how mochi even came about. I enjoysed my class and would recommend it to everyone.

We took a Beginners Mochi Making course as a corporate event activity and the class couldn't have been better. We received a warm welcome from Simon and Hanna on our arrival. The teaching kitchen was all set up and very well equipped. Throughout the lesson Simon and Hanna gave clear easy to follow instructions as well as being patient and helpful if we needed extra help. I was impressed at the huge array of filling available to put in our mochi. In addition to the instructions, Simon and Hanna were very informative about the history of mochi and variations in different parts of the world. We thoroughly enjoyed the class and would highly recommend.

We made mochi with red bean paste, dates, chestnuts and cream/jam/popping balls. Hannah was very helpful and got vegan cream ahead of the class as we are both dairy intolerant. We learnt a lot and Hannah was very informative throughout the class. I would recommend it!
