Guided by experienced teachers, you’ll learn the traditional Japanese art of repairing with gold and leave with symbolic pieces to treasure.

This class is perfect for all experience levels. You’ll be supported every step of the way as you explore the philosophy of wabi-sabi and create up to two repaired bowls using Japanese gold mica powder.

**What to expect:**
- Learn the history and philosophy behind Kintsugi.
- Repair up to two traditional Japanese bowls.
- Option to bring your own crockery or choose from a vintage collection!
- All materials provided, including gold mica powder.
- Enjoy a mindful, creative experience in a welcoming studio.

By the end, you’ll take home golden-seamed pottery and a deeper appreciation for life’s beautiful imperfections.

The class was great - both teachers have a lovely, compassionate and open minded manner and are obviously very skilled in their craft, but it’s the general vibe of the class that I liked above anything else. What a relaxing, creative space! We made a couple of pieces from the selection of the ceramics that was included, had some drinks and snacks in the meantime. It’s a great class to come to both with a friend or alone, either way you’ll enjoy.

An amazing workshop run by some wonderful tutors in such a lovely environment. A very relaxing way to spend a Friday evening amongst great company. The tutors were so friendly, made everyone very comfortable, were excellent at teaching their skills and provided brilliant equipment and facilities. The tea, snacks and refreshments were such a nice added touch.

The class was amazing! We arrived a little earlier and was made to feel welcome in a cozy art centre vibe kinda place. The teacher was very knowledgeable and even though they were not Japanese, really made an effort to bring background and history. Snacks and drinks were available, and safety equipment was provided. Strongly recommend!

It was a good experience. Nelly was a patient teacher. I enjoyed it and would do it again. One tip is to not pick something with a rounded bottom because then its hard to break it, file it and put it back together. It would be good to hear more on the history of the practice perhaps as well. One piece of feedback is to have more bowl types so we can have options where its less thick and curved on the bottom. Recommend this experience.
