“What a nice way to spend time together! Our teacher explained to us how the clay works, what purposes we can/cannot use it for and how each of the tools work. The scarring technique came in very handy. She also explained how to make a finger pot, which was a easy way to get a feel for the clay.
I strongly suggest bringing an idea of what you want to make with you to class as coming up with something creative was the hardest part.”
“Went with my husband as part of a birthday present gift from a friend and both enjoyed it immensely! A great way to work on your creativity and switch off from reality!”
“Great fun, really nice to try something new and Isla & Izzy were really lovely and helpful. Would definitely recommend.
Only tiny issue was trying to find the right room as no directions to the class but we managed and had a fantastic evening.
Tricky to take pics as our hands were covered in clay!”
“Ida (the instructor) was really good and had some good tips for our pottery!
We went to the counting house in Edinburgh and I don't think this is a good location for it. Previously, I have been to similar workshops (for less cost) and we could bring our own alcohol. The counting house were charging us in addition to the class and wouldn't even let us pay corkage. For that reason, I think the class is overpriced and wouldn't go back or recommend to anyone.”
