Kintsugi Pottery Repair Workshop Reviews

This is a fun activity in Heswall, Liverpool

We need to become more aligned with the concept that something being “broken” does not mean that it is useless. Nor do we have to see the concept of actually restoring something as making it ‘as new’.

Kintsugi teaches us that in life we can turn adversity into something that is beautiful and resilient and shows us that in time, we can heal from our wounds, embrace our imperfections, and become stronger.

Kintsugi known as the golden repair translates as ‘kin’ meaning gold and ‘tsugi’ meaning 'join'.

Using a 2-part epoxy glue, premium non-toxic and gold powder we will repair a Japanese-inspired piece of pottery.

We will take our time and gently convert our bowl into a beautiful piece to display and cherish reminding us that no matter our difficulties, we can find a way to reframe and find meaning in life.

The whole experience was a blast - cute environment, positive vibes, GREAT instruction and help from Sammy who is WONDERFUL. It was a great day out. Highly recommend, and I’m not a “crafty” person usually!

Sammy was great! Very clear with her instructions and loads of fun too. I went a bit mad and smashed my bowl into 23 pieces! Probably way too many but hey. Great fun gluing back together! Time certainly flies in the class. Didn't quite manage to finish it but Sammy was very helpful and gave me materials to complete at home.

We loved this class. It was such a calm and cathrtic way to spend the afternoon. The whole process was laid out very clearly with detailed instruction but we would all work at out own pace and experience level.
