This is a fun activity in Bethnal Green. , London

This introductory beginner's glass workshop in London is specially designed for absolute beginners with no prior experience in lampworking glass. It's the ideal activity to learn how to create your own stunning glass flowers without feeling overwhelmed.

Through careful observation and teaching, we have found that starting with the Mini Flower Set is the perfect way to begin. This approach allows you to get hands-on straight away and successfully create beautiful pieces. In this workshop, you will learn how to make mini flowers, which have 3-5 petals that are lightly pressed, or small flowers, where each petal is pressed multiple times for added detail. To ensure a high success rate, each flower is limited to a maximum of 5 petals.

You can choose a workshop duration that suits your schedule:

- 1.5-hour workshop: Create a mini set of 2-3 flowers or a small set of 2 flowers.
- 2-hour workshop: Create a mini set of 3-4 flowers or a small set of 2-3 flowers.
- 3-hour workshop: Create a mini set of 5+ flowers or a small set of 4+ flowers.

For those interested in creating more intricate designs, we recommend joining our Improver Beginner Workshop after this introductory session.

You will leave with a gorgeous collection of your very own handcrafted glass flowers and a wonderful sense of achievement from mastering this mesmerising art form.

Your workshop experience includes:

- Guided instruction – We are with you throughout, starting with a demonstration and staying nearby to help. Sometimes, multiple instructors are available for extra support.
- Packaging – After creating your pieces, we’ll package them beautifully. You can select from thousands of yarns to tie a custom bow.
- Complimentary repair service – If your finished piece sustains damage due to non-human factors, we offer a one-time free repair.

Price includes VAT.

It was both harder and easier than I expected. A lot of fun. The workshop was v pretty, the equipment was cool. The coloured glass selection was good. The teachers were v helpful, but also encouraging. I had a good time and would highly reccommend, even though I wasn’t great at it. Still left with a nice (but nice as others) flower

A good class. Initial instruction given and various teachers available throughout the class who could help if needed, and gave different tips and ideas. Easy to loose track of time and not everyone in the class had booked for the same length. Would recommend setting a timer to allow finishing the projects you have started as didn’t get all of my flowers completed and left with some unattached petals.

Really enjoyed the workshop! Initial tutorial was very helpful both for technique and safety. My partner and I were able to create a few flowers each in the time booked. Booked for my partners birthday and she really enjoyed the experience and would love to do it again!

It was very satisfying to leave with two completed glass flowers. The instructions were simple to follow but it was rather difficult to hear what the teacher was saying due to noise coming from some kind of fan or equipment.

Really enjoyed the glass flower workshop. When I got there they set me up gave a good safety talk and showed me how to make the flowers. I made 4 small flowers and really enjoyed the workshop. Only thing I would say that could be bit better was when I got there I was shown the whole process at once including what not to do. It was a lot of info at once so when I finished my first set of petals I had forgot what to do next. There wasn't many people in so could easily ask for help. But if it was busy could see myself struggling. It might have been better if they first showed you how to do the first part then came round to show you want to do next once you done a bit. Only a small thing though I was still able to make flowers and do all the steps, others might be fine but I found I had to ask the teacher a lot of questions.

A good class, however the tutors were not terribly attentive . Class started late as the previous session appeared to be over running. Also we’d booked as a group of 3 but we’re not initially given adjoining seats. Good fun but more support would make it so much better.
