This is a fun activity in Forest Gate. , London

Looking for craft classes in London that will help you pick up a new skill? Get your hands messy with homemade clay at this beginner-friendly pottery workshop!

Guided by a professional pottery artist, Suzan, this class will begin with an introduction to the materials, processes, and basic techniques of wheel throwing. Your teacher will provide a quick demonstration so you can see exactly how the craft is performed before handing things over to you to begin molding and shaping your clay.

With a maximum class size of two students, Suzan will be on hand to provide plenty of one-to-one support and answer any questions you may have. Looking for things to do in London with kids? Bring your little ones along and play with clay together! Swap screens with a creative and interactive hobby all while enjoying some quality family time.

By the end of the class, you will have created a beautiful selection of pots and get to choose your favourite piece to be glazed by Suzan, ready to collect at a later date and display at home!

Please note:
Your final pieces will be ready around four weeks after your class and will be posted to you when ready.

Highly recommended for a thoroughly enjoyable couple of hours. The perfect balance of teaching and hands on experience (with varying degrees of success!) I look forward to collecting our fired and glazed bowls in the coming weeks. Really nice and friendly studio in a beautiful building.

Really nice class. Very relaxing atmosphere. Suzan is really lovely, everything was clear and she made it feel so easy! She gave a short demo and then let me crack on. Always right there if I needed help but not overpowering, letting me get to know the craft and material in my own way. Constantly replenshied my clay so I could try and try again, until the 2 hours was up and I could pick the best one from the bunch! Definately reccomend! I got this as a gift card- which was really nice because it was planned and paid for for me but meant I could book it whenever suited me.

I loved this class. It was just myself and the teacher which allowed me to learn more rapidly. The fact 2 people is the max is great. I was chuffed with the progress I made skill wise

The class was fantastic! We were given protective trousers to wear, our teacher was lovely and taught us attentively and then let us do some ourselves which was a good balance. She provided everything we needed and it was a really enjoyable morning for us both. Thoroughly recommend!
